Obviously there must be a quite back story to the run up that led to this incident (upset ex, her fella upset someone etc etc.)

Unfortunately as i understand it, They wont be charged for murder / manslaughter either as the baby was not actually born. Which means they have destroyed the mothers life, and may well if even found guilty only get a couple of years for GBH!

He's getting charged with Child Destruction, which carries a maximum of Life, as well as GBH.
