So Michael has walked from Sean's Milwaukee Yamaha ,, the new R1 isn't adapting to the island , & although with all new bikes teething is expected I was quite surprised . Given that josh Brooke's has had a great season on it .. Still nothing prepares you for the TT until you take it round ... So he's going to jump back on a BMW & a few from his own stable..
On another note French rookie frank petricola died in qualifying RIP

From what iv'e read Michael Dunlop was promised a competitive, factory spec superbike from Yamaha but what he got instead was a bike that was dumping oil into its air box. If it's pumping its oil out of the air box then it won't do 6 laps before it runs out of oil and seizes. Would you fancy the possibility of that happening to you at 190mph+ at the TT ?

He could have stayed with Yamaha for the duration of the TT and took the easy money, he's not about money though, he's a born winner that wants to win and he wasn't going to win on a Yamaha, he was promised a competitive bike for the TT which hasn't been delivered.

I can't see it doing the sales of the R1 much good.

M Dunlop will always have haters because he wont conform. He wants to win at all costs which wont fit in with today's media friendly sponsorship puppets devoured by sponsors. What he did with an unproven bike last year was phenomenal and deserves respect. I don't think they give personality trophies at IOM which is just as well as he would never make that podium. His live press conferences are a blast with the tv crews on eggs never knowing what he will say next. "my ******* is burnt clean off me with race fuel" was classic Dunlop

or was it his **** was burnt I cant recall. was funny anyway

Sad news about Petricola - he took a big injury at last years NW200 where he was clinging to live for a few days. Just over a year later and its all over for him.

Kinda sad, but when its in your blood - nothing is going to stop you.
