my day at the 2015 ultimate worlds strongest team
well it was my 2nd time going and i really really enjoyed it yesterday,a huge turnout (more than last year) and some great events.
i paid for the vip tickets which im still debating if it was worth it or not as the "buffet" was a 1 plate only deal with a meat roll and some chips/slaw etc.................its a strongman event and the majority of people there were meat heads and i think a few were expecting a proper good meal but nevermind, also the queue for the tucker was insane and i was still waiting when the event re-started which was bad but i suppose each year the event is on it will iron out these little problems.
i met geoff capes and had a good talk with him and also met laurence shahlaei/mike burke/jerry pritchard/thor/big sean hagan/luke stoltman
i would have like to have met eddie hall and mark felix but they were late coming to the vip lounge and we had to shoot.
i treated myself to some xplosive ape t-shirts too as i struggle to get clothes to fit
it is now a yearly event for me and my mates.
heres a few (poor) pics of me being dwarfed (not often that happens)
jerry pritchett
mike burke
the giant which is 6ft 11.5 inch sean hagan
thor from game of thrones
laurence shahlaei
and last but by no means least...........80's legend and true gentleman geoff capes

Yet in running circles, I'm pretty chunky (most my height are 9-10 stone).
I can't even imagine being twice my weight!!
Amazing; that Thor guy looks bloody terrifying!

Love strongman comps always have. I think even the smallest of them tend to be beasts! I love the gym aswell but dont have the time to get that big. Takes a lot of effort and a fair bit of chicken lol

Big Z is just a phenomenon in the log lift. Especially as he seems to lift with his triceps. The man is a freak! I'm also hopeful our Eddie Hall will do well. He's just broken the deadlift record and if he can improve his overall performance he's going to be a contender for sure. We need another WSM title for the UK. The Scandinavians and Americans seem very dominant at the moment.

Damn that's bad news regarding Geoff. I recall his battles with Sigmarsson back in the 80s. These strongmen have always been absolute hardcore!
