I feel a little sorry for Guy Martin, a nearly man on several occasions. Still ***** of steel to ride at those speeds on a street circuit.

Agreed, he's the TTs Andy Murray. Easily talented enough to win it given the right conditions but generally the opposition are just that little bit better.

Bloody quick for a lorry mechanic though (read his autobiography and that makes sense).

Cool

I've always considered them to be the pinnacle of motorsport. It might not have the glamour of F1 or Moto GP but for me as far as racing goes it doesn't get any better than the TT.

I've taken a bike to 170mph in a straight line on a flat surface and that was scary enough to decide I never wanted to go that fast again on a bike so to do 200mph on roads that are bumpy with rises and falls and cambers they are beyond ***** of steel not to mention reaction times the speed of light needed to correct any 'wobble' at that speed

I've always believed he was never going to win one on that Suzuki, now TAS have switched to BMW I think he might have a good chance.

There is a right hander with a drystone dyke that had yellow on it off of Joey Dunlops helmet, that's judging a apex to the extreme. Come the start of June will be glued to ITV4 for all the TT action.

It will be interesting to see if Michael Dunlop can win a TT this year on the new R1, its still on stock swingarm & engine internals I hear, I think he will have his work cut out judging by his dissapointing NW200. It would be great if Guy or William Dunlop could grab a TT win.

Just me or does anyone else start to lean into those corners with the rider when watching that!

Would be a great ride on a closed road at even half that pace.

.
Nothing wrong with that . . . . having to remind yourself that you can't filter in traffic when following a bike while driving a car however

When two of my mates raced BSB we used to chat & party a fair bit with David Jeffries, we once watched on board footage of him doing a lap. He say stuff like lift your knee slightly here or you catch kerb, and lift your head here or you will take it off on that stone that sticks out. ***** of steal these lads, would love to see Guy win but i just hope they all return safe.
