Obviously not everyone on some form of benefits is like many of those filmed for these programmes, but, it cannot be denied that there are areas across this country filled with people with absolutely no desire to work. If people think these areas (people) don't exist, I can only assume they simply don't live too near to them.

I'm not about to demonise all people claiming benefits, some people are in genuine need, and should be supported, but there are many who abuse what should be a system to be proud of.

For a long time, people have been allowed to abuse this, and we have a proportion of people that just think the world owes them a living, and an overhaul to this system has been very long overdue in my opinion. Sadly, as I knew would be the case when it happened, the genuinely needy get caught up in the changes, and suffer.

I don't watch these sort of programs anymore. They're only designed to infuriate good people such as ourselves that work and earn our keep.

These kind of programmes will continue so that the Tories have public support for their benefit cuts.

For the most part the propaganda has worked. I read an analysis that said that in the 2015 election the Tories INCREASED their vote share amongst the unemployed! Now that is clever politics.
