Default One day, I'll meet the tw@t.........(2)

One day, I'll meet the tw@t ..........who split my water bill between TWO companies...who promptly charge me 2/3 of a full bill for THEIR services.

I'm now on a meter, naively thinking that that would get rid of the robdogs that are Severn-Trent.

But no, the fukcers have started charging me over £100 a year just to remove rainwater from ONE downpipe...all the rest go into either soakaways, or water-butts, or both.

They bill me twice yearly, I've discussed it with them and their position is, in real terms: pay up and shut up. Or we prosecute you.
Their letters are full of offers to help....not me though, only those in receipt of some sort of benefit..... Where's MY help to get out of THEIR greedy grasp????

Bleeding robdogs.

Privatised water? What do I get out of that? Apart from higher bills to pay shareholders. I can't even fukc them off and go with another provider, like I can with my electricity....although much good THAT does me.

This country is fekked.

Come on guys...if you have water from a meter, it's down to THEM to charge you for used water removal. Didn't you know that?

The ONLY thing ST water can charge me for is surface water.

I'm on a meter and am charged by the cubic meter for both supply and waste. I also get a rebate because my surface rain water goes to a soak away.

If I were you I'd be diverting that rainwater pipe (either above or underground) and disconnecting the grid/trap from their system then they CAN'T charge you!

its a sewerage charge, everyone pays it. If you are discharging to a sewer system you need to pay. If you don;t want to pay then build your own treatment proccess. When you work out the cost, you will think your bill is cheap hahaha

Nope, quite wrong.

Since I paid Anglian for water and ST for sewage, it would have been like that.

Now, on a meter, I pay Anglian for metered water which INCLUDES A CHARGE FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT.

Then ST charge me EXTRA for rainwater removal.

B@stards.

The sewerage charge is for treating the water you've used to go down the sewer.
It sounds like AW are charging on behalf of ST as you must be right on the border of the two companies and your local sewage works is owned by ST.
If you also chuck rainwater down the sewer as well then that's an extra charge, which ST are directly charging you.

AW can't add the ST surface water charge to their bill as their billing system can't deal with it. Their charging system includes the surface water charge in the meter standing charges.

If you don't want to use their service for taking away rainwater then don't put it down the drain.

Sigh........the very point I've been TRYING to make.

They send me a letter telling me to ask for help....so I do.

But all they want to do is give me time to pay if I'm on benefits, NOT tell me how to avoid the bleddy charges.

Sigh....
http://www.stwater.co.uk/my-supplies...ater-drainage/

You pay the charge until you can show that all your rainwater drainage is directed to a soakaway/stream and then you make the claim to remove the charges.
The reduction will start from 1st April of the year you claim in.
