id like to hear you guys thoughts on starting a business with around £50,000.
im thinking importing jap cars, an online shop selling impreza parts and expand it to cover other cars , or property development with the help from a bank

I have a plan for a unique venue combining a Curry House and a Lap Dancing Bar - my working title is '*** & Madrass'

the self storage thing is possably a good idea , i wonder how much it would cost to get that up and running , i like it because very little work to do after its all set up
ive used them before and they arent that cheap and when you consider the amount of storage rooms inside it adds upto a good amount of cash every week/month
i'm sure it was around £130 a month for a cage smaller than a single bedroom ,so 40 cages needed to bring in £5000 a month . hmmm

allways the optimist f1 fan , but you are probably right ,
are you refering to the self storage idea or just any new business, i could look into having the head office in the isle of man , is that the right place for it

How about a hiring out car lifts, something like http://u-spanner.co.uk/
You could have a building with about 4 ramps in and rent them out by the hour.

Buy a cheap 2 bedroom property in a small hamlet in Europe (thinking France) and rent it out. Every one of these, no matter how ropey they look seems to be fully occupied during July & August. Many are 'lock up and leave' arrangements, where someone local will drop by to clean the place and do the laundry, on their approval the breakages deposit gets refunded.
Could turn over about £600 - £800 a week in high season.

Only Buisness for that sort if capital is a coffee shop
20 k to fit it out
Sales can be 5-10 k per week
GP up to 70%
Can run it with just a few staff
2p tea bag retail £1.80
Cup cakes at quid or two retail at a fiver
I'm a furniture retailer but takes a lot of space and hidden costs like waste and staff turnover of your a bad boss but margins ok but you need to be experienced in that sort of field
So coffee shop is the one to go for
