tsb ppi claim ,
I eventually got around to looking into this ,
Anybody thinking about doing this , do not get one of those companies to do it .
I went into my local tsb , got the claim line number , phoned it , they sent out forms , I looked at it and thought no chance of filling this out , asking account numbers and dates etc , put it away in a drawer ,
Got a phone call from tsb claim department couple weeks later , she filled the form out over the phone , she had most the info needed anyway , it took about 15mins .
2 weeks later I get a letter in the post saying ........ £6200 will be paid into my bank within 28 days , literally gobsmacked , mouth open staring at the letter . The loan was only for 4000 but over 10 years ago so a lot of interest added ,

I put a claim in with alloy da back in 2012. It paid out about £1,400 over a few accounts as I'd been mis-sold by the same employee a few times. Great stuff, spent the money, forgot about it.
Call 3-4 weeks ago from them wanting to discuss an old credit card. 30 mins later and a thanks (I was trying to remember 9 years ago), again I forgot about it. Letter in the post and they'd re-opened the case and coughed up another £460
Already in my account too (or was, should I say)

I used one of those companies.......Big Mistake....a cheque got cashed by someone using my "ID" because it was posted to wrong address.....company wont do anything about it.....company who signed the cheque wont do anything about it.......cheque cashing shop (which was over 100 miles away) company wont do anything about it and the Poxy Police haven't done anything about it.......Company is PPI Claims Today. Worst company in the world to deal with - even worse than Sky and EE Combined.

Serves the banks right as years ago I remember asking for a loan and my bank would not give me a loan over the phone unless I took PPI. I'm self employed so the insurance is of no use to me so I just went into my branch and got the loan I wanted with no extra charges.
The banks ripped people off for years so I'm pleased to see people like yourself have been compensated properly due to their heavy handed tactics

it means i can buy all the bits and pieces i want for the subaru without having to feel guilty about it .but i am still to tight to buy samco silicone hoses and bought tt racing ones from ebay , they were rated to be good from someone on here .
and probably take the family on a nice holiday .
i never thought it was going to be worth claiming since i only had the 4000 pound loan, i didnt realise they added on interest and that it would amount to that much

i googled how its worked out and i think this is right, and im guessing how long i had the loan and the figures . but say a monthly payment of £150 , interest for ppi purposes is 8% times by how many years ago the payment was made , so for the first months payment that works out at £180 now times that by the number of monthly payment, (36months )and the total comes to £6480. this isnt totaly acurate because interest on the last months payment would be less than the first . but it gives an idea how i got so much back

Im with Natwest, they went back to my first loan in 2001, as I had spend since then consolidating debts etc, at times I had loan for £25k.
Mine was refunded in the Summer of 2013, £18k !!!!!!
Paid all my debts off, and left me enough to get my 2003 WRX Wagon.
Its worth it. Natwest was easier. Fill out a form, didnt even have to give details of when loans start/finished. Never questioned any of it. I beleive Natwest (RBS) just took the stance of paying it back, rather than argue the toss with customers.
Natwest did payments+interest+compensation.
I was gobsmacked at the amount, even called RBS to double check, and think they thought I was complaining not enough.
