This is awesome but not really in the mainstream news.

Evolution was a marketplace like Silk Road that enabled mail order drug and other stuff purchases via the mail, you purchased with Bitcoin and that Bitcoin was in Escrow until you received your order. As of yesterday they shut the site and ran off with the money, some say $12 million some say a lot more one thing everyone agrees on is nobody will be going to the police to file a complaint.

Sooner or later most of these markets end up as scams or busted...

Maybe the owners decided to cut and run after the last series of high profile busts.

 

I'm hoping they planned the exit scam from the start. It's a bit of a shame as it was my go to Market for demos.

 

I am sure a lot of Dark Net users are not the sort of people who you really want to rip off. I hope these people who ran the website have adequate protection in place.

Reddit keep deleting info but they're being tracked down aggressively.

Lots of talk about it being a ponzi scheme and time ran out, I still hope they planned it all along rather than siphoned too much off.

Shame it has to be so seedy, I just think of all the tax people would be more than willing to pay, give it to the police, think how much they could do if they didn't have to work on prohibition and had tons of cash.

I bet there are a few people who will seek them out....usually those who scam scam at least one wrong person.
