I've seen people skid like that with their trolley/shopping cart in supermarkets. I've tried meself with my flat shoes on, but I'm rubbish at it.

The question I'd like answered is....did the horse stop the rider...or did the rider stop the horse?

Judging by the riders hands and legs and the fact he stayed on it, I'd say he stopped the horse, when the horse does the stopping it usually ends with the rider going **** over tit out the saddle and over the horses head.
