I'll watch it later, but we have had an attack in one town of North Wales yesterday, which is down the road from me. The BBC news doesn't say it, but it's being said that the white attacker shouting 'white power' might have been influenced by this Angry, White and Proud programme.
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-nor...wales-30827371
Perhaps the attacker wasn't right in his head, but really unfortunate happening for a peaceful town.

I am sure if he wrote it all down, his life story, with all the anguish, grim unremitting harshness and loneliness - it would chime with those two French terrorists stories
Substitute him with them, and the far right with radical islam
Different sides of the same coin

But here is a very good program that debunks a lot of the myths re Muslim's in the UK, that are spread, mainly by the tabloid press - all that banning Xmas boo locks

Yes, this was one of the most powerful scenes, when Colin is speaking to the camera at the of the program, sounding wearily disillusioned by it all, and he speaks of powerlessness, poor upbringing, loneliness, feeling marginalised and an outsider - and how the far right gave him a sense of belonging, a family

Things are not going to go backwards with everyone scarpering back to wherever "they" come from and shutting the door.
It's a shrinking world and we are all affected by events that happen all over the world, we have to get on.

Yeah sure, education is crucial - to me these problems with alienation - shown both by Muslim radicals and the far right is one of poverty (in the broadest sense) and powerlessness, they get drawn to people / organisations who are offering easy solutions
And also watching that program - the shear joylessness of their squalid lives, the total lack of joy
Witness the scene nr Regents park station, with the smiley guys who engaged them in a simple un confrontational conversation, wanting to know about the "fvck off Islam" badge
And they got back just a load of vitriol and hate, really sad

Just what is it with angry, fat, bald middle-aged white men? Do their too-tight football shirts chafe them to the point of madness?
Forcing them to waddle in that cockney Micky Flanigan style

Who can blame them?
These people have seen their culture, religion and heritage eroded away from them. How do you think they feel when they their neighborhood changed. Dark people who speak funny languages, drive nice cars, dress up wierd and worship strange gods move in next door. The same dark people are eyeing up your womenfolk, the local
Businesses you've known all your
Life are closing down, in its place PPP up shops full of food you've never heard of, bacon is dropped from your kids school meals, ritually slaughtered meat is being sold to you unaware, your cousin has joined the countries armed forces to fight a load of people that the dark folk back home support. Then when he returns from war a bunch of dark guys are calling him a murderer and then the police protect them!
So you tell me then... Do you blame these folk?

I've not seen that before. I don't know why but I always find it funny when I hear somebody with a strong Indian/Pakistani accent using words like m0therfcker

Just watched it and I'm left with mixed feelings. On the one hand I feel sorry for Colin and his mates: they're clearly disillusioned and need somebody to put their arm round them and show them other ways to protest against so-called radical Islamism. On the other hand I find what they're doing a bit embarrassing - as per my Britain First thread I feel the 'far-right' have hijacked the flag and the notion of patriotism. They sense something's wrong, but owing to the way they've been socialised they express it in a way that actually undermines their grievance and makes them the villains. They harm the counter-jihadi movement. They're anti-recruiters. Ironic.
It's also frustrating that impressionable, but intelligent young people are pushed to the far-left and end up co-opting Islamist narrative in response to the hate and anger spewed out by Colin's lot. The former end up becoming useful idiots - pawns in a bigger game - their intellect loses out to naiveté and it's the fault of the far-right.
I want to post a bit more about this later, but my dinner's ready.

Or Are you suggesting that if these facist nutters where to march through Golders Green or Stamford Hil, then the opposing protestors would "stand down"

I think your second paragraph is spot on.

As of 2014, its honorary presidents are Doreen Lawrence, Baroness Lawrence of Clarendon and Ken Livingstone. Its joint secretaries are Weyman Bennett of the Socialist Workers Party and the Anti-**** League, and Sabby Dhalu, formerly of the National Assembly Against Racism (NAAR).[4] One of the UAF vice-chairs is Azad Ali, who in 2009 was suspended as a civil servant in the Treasury after he wrote approvingly on his blog of an Islamic militant who said that as a Muslim he is religiously obliged to kill British soldiers in Iraq.[5][6]
The left co-opt the narrative of political Islam; it allows them to continue the fight against their old enemy, the right or, more accurately, those who they construct, misunderstand or misappropriate as being 'The Right'. It's an enemy of my enemy is my friend scenario which leads to absurd scenes where the new hard-right (the EDL for example) are pro-democracy and anti-fascist and the new hard-left (the UAF) stand shoulder to shoulder with Islamofascist like Islam4UK.
In 2006 David Tate argued that the Socialist Workers Party was seeking to dominate the UAF.[40] David Toube claims that the organisations involved in the UAF avoid condemnation of antisemitism.[41]
LGBT rights activist Peter Tatchell has accused UAF of a selective approach to bigotry: "UAF commendably opposes the BNP and EDL but it is silent about Islamist fascists who promote anti-Semitism, homophobia, sexism and sectarian attacks on non-extremist Muslims. It is time the UAF campaigned against the Islamist far right as well as against the EDL and BNP far right."[27]
The journalist Andrew Gilligan has claimed that the UAF's reluctance to tackle Islamism is that several of its own members are supporters of such extremism. The UAF's vice-chairman, Azad Ali, is also community affairs coordinator of the Islamic Forum of Europe, which Gilligan describes as "a Muslim supremacist group dedicated to changing 'the very infrastructure of society, its institutions, its culture, its political order and its creed from ignorance to Islam'".[27] According to Gilligan, Michael Adebolajo, one of the murderers of Lee Rigby in 2013, spoke "on the margins" of a 2009 UAF demonstration in Harrow.[27] Secretary Weyman Bennett responded by saying that Adebolajo was not an official speaker.[27]
