Servicing my Boiler - who to use?
Had a few issues with my boiler recently which have been sorted luckily as it is still under warranty. It would appear that the previous company we used to service it, did not clear the waste pipe. It got blocked which stopped it from firing up.
All sorted now by the home builder (Ward Homes have finally come up trumps with their 5 year warranty) but now I don't know who to use for servicing it. We have one more year left before the warranty runs out so I will probably take out a service contract at that time. But for now, who do I get to service it? You hear so many horror stories about shoddy workmanship or taking your money over the phone and then cancelling the booked appointment.
Any ideas for a good firm? I'm in Swale, Kent.
Swale heating have a poor reputation and again, want me to pay when I book the appointment which I don't like the idea of.
Any thoughts or recommendations?

We have the British Gas cover, they service it once a year, cover the plumbing and drains and will come out and fix it when it conks out, ats about 19 quid a month, worth it I reckon.

By quite incredible coincidence the guy who services my boiler actually fitted it ( 1993 )
,we moved into this house 2008
But I met him cos he wanted a boat cover ( work for me) for his boat - and my boats in same yard. This was 3 years ago

We use a local chap, if it's a Worcester boiler they have a search facility on their website for finding an accredited maintenance bod.
Whoever you use make sure they're Gas Safe (was Corgi) registered, in fact that's another good website to look for someone local.
