As long as they're not kicking a ball about when they murder each other (or watching someone else do it), it's fine, apparently

Where in that news article does it state that the people killed were Christians? It says they came from a predominantly Christian area, nothing more.
Surely it's enough that innocent people were murdered without the inflamatory attachment of religious identity?

Perhaps but thread title states that more Christians have been murdered, when in fact they are non-muslim. A slightly different slant I think.

The BBC reported the victims this morning as "mainly Christians", they've now changed that to "non-Muslims". Perhaps they received complaints from people who feel that explicit reporting is a bit "inflammatory".

Muslims are murdering Christians across the globe; in Kenya, throughout the Middle East, in Pakistan...You appear to want to suppress that fact via some appeal to a plurality of victims, an appeal which diminishes public awareness of the plight of Christians across the so-called 'Muslim world'.

My prayers are with all the victims of this evil force, but this thread is about my brothers and sisters in faith.

Mine would be for my brothers and sisters of humanity to stop any killing, particularly in the name of something as obscure and devisive as faith.

People should not be harmed for their faith. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their survivors.

To be fair to the Muslims, Christians are at it too. Just as bad as each other.

I hope you extend your prayers to the people killed in Kenya by Christians for being suspected of being a witch. But they are just wronguns aren't they. Nothing to do with Evil Christianity or anything like that right? Of course not... everyone knows the evil ones are the Muslims.

There is something with religion. Where the Abrahamic faiths another method to make the African blacks subservient to their northern masters? Who knows... i can't see it doing them many favours.

I don't believe in fairies but plenty of kids (and some adults) do - strangely I don't feel inclined to murder them all for their beliefs.

Then you place humanism above Christianity, which doesn't make you a pluralist, but a chauvinist. You seem to want to deploy relativism on the one hand and moral absolutism on the other. In my view you've allowed your prejudice against people of faith to cloud your judgement and hamper the cogency of an otherwise fair argument.

My concern for humanity is deeper and broader and longer than that for my fellow Christians, but I make no apology for singling them out for special consideration on this thread.

Hello, Shaid, I trust you're well.

If you can find a passage or verse in the New Testament that gives a mandate for murder, I'll walk away from Christianity. Will you walk away from Islam if I produce a passage or verse in the Qur'an that explicitly advocates the elimination of rival belief systems?

That's good, and no one needs to apologise to anyone for singling his faith-wise brothers and sisters out on this thread. It's reasonable here.

Would you grant a Muslim the same favour?
Not intended to be inflamatory, just a genuine question.

I am well, i hope you are too. I also hope as a Christian you are going to boycott Christmas as it has nothing to do with Chrisitanity especially that damn tree.

Some stuff here.

Bottom line we all have crap on one another. I am not one for searching the negatives in someone or their beliefs. You can post away many links like i have above slandering Islam however such websites just like the one above have little credibility in my eyes.

There are violent bits in the Quran and they matter. I'm not going to beat around the bush, they do. However God has given you a brain to utilise. Therefore utilise it.

If innocent Muslims are being murdered for their faith, then yes. Why should I not grant them a same favour, hm? Why should be any less value of their lives than the mighty Christians', holy Hindus' or jolly Jews', eh?

As I said just asking. However I wonder what the general response would be if it were to happen, hm?

It's largely symbolic and whilst I agree with you that Christmas has been corrupted, I'll still celebrate it as a time to spend with loved ones and as a time to think of those less fortunate.

I wasn't going to put up a link, I was simply going to mention The Sword Verses. I agree with you regarding the credibility of the link you've posted.

I don't really understand your concluding sentence, perhaps I'm not utilising my brain.
