Default Any shower experts?

We moved to a new house recently, which has a Triton mixer shower, but there is almost zero flow from the shower.

The water is just a trickle, and its no where near enough to have a shower in.

Is there anything I can do to fix apart from having it ripped out and a new shower put in?

Thanks

Im not sure, we have a water tank in the loft, and also a tank in the airing cupboard on the same floor as the bath room.

All other taps work fine, including the bathroom sink, just the shower we're having a problem with, the flow is it takes ages just to wash shampoo out of your hair.

hmm in the setup here all those other taps trigger the pump too.

Could be a blockage as suggested, is it easy to whip the head off and de-scale it etc?

Its not an electric one, its a horizontal bar about 2 feet above the taps.

It is good yes, the hot water tap has much more flow than the shower.

I went overboard and ended up putting in a 4.5 bar Stuart Turner Monsoon (which will serve 2 showers) and upgrading all the pipework to 22mm and only tapering down 15mm at the back of the mixer. The difference is epic.

You can, of course, get cheaper pumps to go into your existing pipework.
Ah, I take it this isnt for a novice? Thanks for the advice.

Try giving the head a real gd clean, failing that you might need a pump. Check to see if there is any isolation valves to the shower as well maybe they are not opened fully.

Thanks, where would I find the isolation valve? Under the bath possibly?

First thing is to remove the shower head, point the pipe into the tray and turn it on, see if the flow is acceptable then.

If not, it might need a pump, but if you have a hot and cold tank, both need to be pumped and the hot tank will probably need an Essex or Surrey flange to avoid cavitation.

From behind the shower mixer, check pipework to see where a valve might be. It might be under the bath maybe.
