Another IS/ISIL Beheading Video !
A third westerner, British aid worker David Haines, purportedly beheaded by an IS (ISIL) member. (Also, at the end of the video, is allegedly another British hostage (name withheld by UK Govt.) shown being threatened).
The executioner delivers the familiar message to the govt. His voice sounds like the British one as in the previous two videos.
Video follows the same pattern as the aforementioned two American hostages' demise: executioner dressed all in black, desert backdrop, etc.
(I haven't watched any of the videos - haven't got the inclination to/stomach for it).

I find those images, the iconography of the orange jumpsuit and the masked man wielding a knife - set against a sunburned, bleached (devoid of life) other wordly landscape
Utterly chilling
I too have no desire to watch - it seems to me the voyeurism involved would be another blow against the humanity and dignity shown by the victims - just adding insult to injury
(they seem so composed and dignified in stark contrast to the mad cowardly lunatics standing beside them)
I have read that the some people in the security forces believe they were all killed at the same time
Utterly chilling

Only a sad face emotion? Are these not the same people you want to welcome back into our country with just a stern telling off in terms of a finger wave and slap on the hand?
I hope everyone of these horrible little ***** are hunted down and endure a slow and painful death!

Why can't the world's special forces and their resources (SAS/SBS, Delta Force, etc.) be pooled together?
What with their expertise in intelligence-gathering and lethal fighting and survival skills, access to the best tech/arms, etc., surely they'd **** up IS within a thrice (relatively speaking)? This is the kind of op that these forces relish, after all.
Kill the beast by cutting off the head of the relatively small beat before it has time to grow and grow...

There's an estimated 30,000 Islamic State fighters and they're recruiting by the day, without 'boots on the ground' it'll be impossible to extirpate them. I think I agree with Pope Francis who described what's happening as a 'piecemeal' wwIII. The world needs to act - you never know, it might just unite nations who'd otherwise be enemies.

Yeah, this is getting serious.
Ergo, I'm annoyed at the slow response to the threat, due to govts.' reluctance to even contemplate taking them on - albeit unsurprisingly (because of the previous failed interventions/public opinion/'should we get involved again', etc., etc.).
But I regard ISIL as a genuine, serious, SUSTAINED terrorist threat to the rest of the world. It's scary ****.
The world's govts. need to get with the programme pronto; this threat needs to be taken on head-on.

To be fair we are only here because we tackled the threat of Saddam Hussein 'head on'. A bit more circumspection wouldn't have gone amiss back then and therefore this time just maybe they are thinking the whole thing through properly before making some kneejerk reaction. Then again maybe that is giving them too much credence ... we will see!
But, because of our intervention (thanks Blair/thanks Bush - you power-mad, egotistical c**ts) Pandora's Box has already been opened, regardless. We can't undo that now.
So, I think that for the foreseeable future, to keep 'The West' safe, not only do we need to defeat these fanatics, but maintain a military presence in the region, thereafter. Because look what happens when there is none: a power vacuum is created, and it gets filled with an even more fanatical, murderous regime. Where/when will it all end?!
Don't get me wrong, I really don't want all that ^^^ - it's truly depressing as hell! Effectively, going back to square one. But, right here, right now, I can't see any other (safer) alternative.
But to come full circle, as you say, 'unwittingly' this state of affairs has been created by the UK/US, ultimately. Epic Fail!

And the poor souls in the region the Islamic State see as pagans and infidels and apostates! I'd disagree that this has "ultimately" been created by the coalition of the willing, but I do agree that 'we' created the power vacuum. Ultimate responsibility rests with Mohammad.
So we may as well do what's best for our own citizens' safety. Nothing to lose.
Could this escalate into 'WWIII', anyone?

Mohammed is a large part of this problem as this is being done in his name.
And another thing, there is no Mohammed, Jesus or any other of these Gods you lot keep going on about, if there were do you think he/they would let **** like this happen in their name, waken the **** up!
