Default PETER PAN EMAIL SCAM

The "Peter pan " virus sent to thousands

A Email from a real company called BHlive tells recipients they have tickets for peter pan in Bournemouth pavilion this Christmas.

Hundreds of thousands of people across the uk and further afield thought to have received the message


The email states that a MasterCard whose last four digits 7006 was used to make the £145 purchase it invites people to open some e-tickets which is attached those who have downloaded viruses and malware such as cyptolocker typically locks until they pay a ransom to the scammers



I WAS SENT THE EMAIL YESTERDAY DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE TICKETS

yup and i would know if I had purchased the tickets anyway lol.

Plenty of scam emails out, it seems to be quite rife at the moment.

This one did make me wonder as my business debit card ends in 7006 and is linked with paypal.

I thought the wife had been buying tickets

Plenty of zip file attachment scams at the moment as well doing the rounds.

Never open attachments from sources you don't know or recognise. Basic common sense!
