The FBI are involved now... ridiculous. Since when was a hack of a commercial service a matter for them? Did they get involved when the Sony Network was hacked? Oh that's right, the victims weren't rich!

The Female Body Inspectors?
You're right of course, it only becomes a big deal when someone rich and famous gets hacked. With so much **** on the internet we can't have a few more pics!
there was a mention of some videos on it as well, realy dont get why they dont take more care, you would of thought they would be used being carefull of that kinda think (not that it justifies it happening).

Sign-up to these services is quite sneaky, often done by the back door, like leaving a tickbox checked at registration, or not turning some feature off, automatically enables it. It's not reasonable to expect all users (especially Apple product users) to be technically savvy enough to understand what they've been auto-enrolled into.
The default should be off, with huge disclaimers warning users what the implications of signing up are (such as risk of files being lost, hacked, corrupted, etc) no matter how small the risk. It would probably kill off the 'cloud' industry overnight though (no bad thing IMO)
