Wheeler Dealers: New Series
#7
Me too.
It informs on the mechanicals/electrics, etc. Albeit in quite elementary terms - it doesn't labour on the points.
It has a simple, satisfying '3 Act' (beginning/middle/end) format.
It's easily digestible, whilst keeping you immersed (if you're a car person, obviously).
But that's why it's popular.

Wheeler Dealers is excellent, sure newer stuff like Fast n' Loud is very difficult for them to compete with but Mike and Ed have come a long way since rattle canning Capri wings in the wrong colour, and putting go faster stripes on a Bugeye
Some of the recent series' have been very good - with some rather iconic cars on there.
It's got a format and content that petrol heads can tolerate, and casual viewers can still enjoy.

It's a little cheesy and mike trying to be hip and happening with his choice of words sometimes is laughable but I love it. Agree with above posts...better than a lot of the crap that's on the box

Agreed, Fast and Loud is a fantastic watch. When i first saw the adverts with Rawlings shouting on about 'Gas Monkey got paid', i expected it to be annoying as **** but it's actually really entertaining. Especially all the banter round the workshop and with Sue.

I love wheeler dealers, but getting fed up with the American cars. There are enough American car restoration programmes without WD doing them as well.
I've never, ever seen a T' Bird, so it's just not relevant. There are loads of European cars left to do. Actually switched off half way through last night - never done that before.

You should get yourself along to an American classic show some time, I would never want to own one, but there are always some fascinating vehicles on display and compared to the rafts of Wolseleys, Austins, MGs, Morriss and the likes you get at a British classic show far more interesting to look at.

Wheeler dealers is annoying when they declare a profit without factoring in labour costs and or travel costs and hotels etc when they go abroad to buy cars
THE CAR CHASERS on itv4 on wednesdays is a cool programme

I'd love 'em to do a R5 GT turbo.
But all that is now not likely to happen, seeing as their 'pot' budget has evolved to £20k!!
