Married life is much the same as living in sin life, but now she can come and visit me down in the falklands for significantly cheaper than she could before. dunno whether that is a good thing or not though.

Hello! did you find someone to remove dents in lincoln area?

i have a tiny carpark dint in my drivers door + have been looking to get it sorted for ages (noticed when the car was 2 weeks old, now 2.5years old!) just can't find anyone who charges reasonable, and it winds me up everytime i clean it!

I asked in dixon car clinic (when i went to pick my sister up after she wrote off her clio) and they wanted £75!!! (think that was +vat too!!!) Is that the going rate? I thought it was only a 10min job as the don't even need to remove door cards do they, just run some rod type thingy down behind the window trim? (i was expecting to just slip some guy say £30 cash)

Jase,

That's a bugger!

I'll PM you the phone number of a guy who lives a few villages down the road who's worth a chat with.
He runs a Car Medic franchise and mentioning my name should get you a deal.

Wolfie has said that when we get some LJP membership cards made (work in progress) we can get a discount at Carnetix at Melton Mobray. If you think other suppliers or services might want regular business at a discount.......... PM me their details and ill add them to a list.

Membership will be a small fee to cover materials and admin. T-shirt samples will be on there way before the next meet.

Sorry if i've highjacked this thread

Unlucky with the hedge mate :-(

Insurance sorting it, it`s going to a body repair specialist in lincoln, it doesn`t look that bad but there has been quite a lot of damage done. Wing trashed, also inner wing buckled, headlight destroyed, crossmember across the front bent, bonnet needs replacing. The whole back wing is a replacement job, rear bumper damaged and boot spoiler broken, and last but not least, looks like shiny new backbox is bent aswell. Judging how it`s hanging on the back of the car.

almost, nearly at work in deepest darkest rural lincolnshire, I have to transit down a country lane off the A15. The car started to slide right as I aaccelerated gently, did the whole opposite lock thingy, and it went a bit quick the other way, all while sliding down the camber right and went nose into a hedge at around 10 - 15 mph. The front bumper didn`t get damaged at all. So I think I just hit summit solid in the hedge. and it span the car round. no damage down the left hand side of the car apart from the front and rear wings. The car ended up facing the opposite hedge. A guy that came up the road about 30 seconds later when he stopped to see how I was, he ended up with 2 wheels on the grass verge. So very icey down that stretch of road, definatly one to avoid in really bad weather.

If you ask them they will remove your indicators for you free of charge cause as we all know German cars don't have or need indicators .

The only problem with that is, everyone will think, I have left my burberry baseball cap at home. I don`t know which would be worst. I will just need to get something in the boot to produce a nice rythmic bassy sound that you can hear from 10 miles away.
