I have spoken to Ian at Whilton mill and and found him to be a Thoroughly Nice Bloke

The ONLY slots that he has in August are as follows

04.08.01 09:00hrs
04.08.01 18:30hrs

Now I reckon that we should do the Morning thing, yeah sure it means some ov us have to get up early but that's life.

It also means that there is still the rest of the day after the event to do more stuff

The cost is £165 per team with a minimum billing of 8 teams. Ian recommends 4-6 people in a team.

Working on 8 teams of 4 (32 people) the cost will be £41.25

To secure the slot I will need a deposit from each of you ugly lot to the tune of £16.50 (40%) The rest will be payable by youselves on the day. If you pull out..TOUGH

Just got to check with the Missus about the date, else count me and a mate 'IN' . If you are short on people I might be able to round up a few people from the last session. They all seemed interested in going agin. We had a total of 13 teams on the day. I beleive the max is 16 teams! so if we are short let me know.

OK then, payment of deposits

Thought about cheques in the post and all that and came to the conclusion that this is the year 2001 and there is a slicker way of getting your money to the venue directly.

Trouser suggested this one (he's a corporate organising GOD) Here's how it works

1) Get ya team together and name them
2) Get £16.50/£41.25 off all of them
3) E-mail me your credit card details in 2 e-mails i.e 1st mail contains first half of the number, the 2nd mail has the rest of the number plus expiry dates etc (Security purposes )
4) When I have everyones details, I speak to the card holder and confirm the amount to be debited from the card and also confirm attendance
5) I give the details to the venue who then action the transaction.

This gives the team the choice to pay in full if they wish or they can pay the deposit and settle up on the day.

Obviously from a logistics point of view, it would be nice to turn up at the venue, knowing that everyone had paid, however life ain't that simple is it

Wow, karting in England is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!

£30 a person per team in Scotland! (I know it is a bit far and all that blah, blah, but nevertheless!!!) And it was an outdorr 2 hour endurance session.......how long is this one and is is in/outdoors.....just curious!

Erm, I am working then anyway, got to work out whether it is days or nights........if it is days a night out is in order, if not I may pop up during the day inbetween nights shift.........actually if I am on nights I might be able to wangle half the night off......hmmm.

I don't know how we got to drinking vodka, Mellow whipped out a half bottle of the stuff and we just added other drinks to it!!!!



Has quite an effect on you, I was very dazed and later on.

In the Westie, my stomach was protesting a lot!!!!!!!! Held in by harness, there is no lee way to chunder out of the car so I bit my tongue and took deep breaths!!!!!
