Paul ..

I'm up for it, will have to clear it with "er indoors" to make sure we have nothing planned for that day. I went to the last one they had which was a "dash" across Saddleworth Moor ( about 4 weeks ago )followed by a cracking lunch in a pub in the middle of nowhere, was great fun as well. I managed to keep my 99 sport up with the group ( OK well almost but had a great time trying.

I'm up for meeting on the way, I'm in Atherstone in Warks just off the A5.

Cool

Any fellow Midland scooby owners(the usual suspects) fancy joining in with the Northern meet 3. Looks pretty good to me, good selection of cars attending and spectacular roads. Beleive the date is 30-4-00. See section in Northern meets.
If anybodys up for it let me no and we could arrange to meet up on the way.
Regards
Paul

Anyone fancy meeting somewhere along the A5 (in my case anywhere from Tamworth (M42) services onwards to the M6)? I am thinking of leaving around 7:30.

Question

Should we put a stake in the ground, and say that we will meet at Tamworth Services, and leave at 7:30 heading up the A5 to the M6 (unless someone knows a more "interesting" route)?

Any other Midlanders (or lost Southerners) are welcome!

Check your mail

Hows about travelling up through the Derby Dales through Matlock. I know that this will take a bit longer but it would be much more interesting, specially at that time in the morning.
What do you reckon?
If everybodys up for it i will plan a route, let me no.
Cheers

Suppose we could, depends how much longer it would take ... might pay to do a route and bring it and have a look on the day ... might be better than the M ZZZzzzzzz 6 .

Will take a look at the map and decide on the morning, but as Boomer says its gonna be chocca full of Allegros and caravans, still the M6 is soooooo boring!

Wink

... we can play "spot the workman" at the endless 50mph zones (just how long does it take to install an electronic sign?), or tell when we hit Cheshire - because the bridges are painted blue, or count the cellphone masts or ...

Who says the M6 is boring?

Lightbulb

Just a reminder for anyone coming along to the NM3 from the Midlands (or South).

We will be meeting at Tamworth Services (junction of M42 and A5) to leave for the meet at 7:30am on Sunday morning.
