Ill be up for this again. Hopefully our official stoke event organisor will appear if we click our fingers!

...skoooooosssh!

I feel a Darlo and a meir tunnel special coming on. Better watch that Fu*king speed camera on the A50 past the old stoke ground though. Cheeky *******s even try to get ya after the road works now.

Heard fingers clicking and hey presto........

Andy, WTF, why are you selling up mate? Upgrading to a newer scoob?

Saw the ad on pistonheads, whats the crack then?

Will have to have a mini-meet next week, perhaps Tuesday at Darlaston?

Watching footie tomorrow night, meeting on Thursday night.

As usual, I'll start the list:

1)Skoosh
2)BigScoob
3)Dj
4).........?

Did you get that 'hilarious' text from Si then?
The one about 'I got a SP40, have you got yours yet?'

I'm also interested to see Andy's reply...

I'll come along for the meet, whether I go home or go on a run depends on if I get my car sorted by then.

1)Skoosh
2)BigScoob
3)Dj
4)speedydaveb
5).........?

It does sound good, though could be a bit 'Max Power'.
I'll be in Burton for the evening of the 17th so might pop across with a mate of mine if he is interested (MK5 escort owner, previous to that it was an XR3i and a Nova )

As requested Si, click on the link below to see what your car would look like without the black rubber strips on it:

http://www.evolutionmms.co.uk/subaru/skoosh.jpg

Just remember if you remove them expect a lot more 'dings' in your doors!
If they have been on for a while removing them might reveal something nasty...
The old MK2 escort GL and Ghia trims were riveted on and were prone to have rust behind them.

Cheers Dave, I put the strips on personally so I know there aint anything untoward behind.

Also got the pm from Andy, hope it works out for him although he WILL REGRET having a company car. I did and opted out as it's not all it's cracked up to be - pros and cons though amd each to his own I guess.

Car looks cleaner w/o the strips on but they do serve a purpose, will have a think, I could always get them sprayed white(?)......!

C ya all on tuesday night at the darly at 19H30 as it's starting to get a little darker earlier now.

Si.

Check the connector that goes into the MAF, or it could be the MAF itself. Don't press on the throttle at all when starting it and see if that makes a difference.

I've got to dump some stuff at the tip tomorrow, I could pop over and take a quick look at it afterwards if you like? Can't guarantee that I can fix/diagnose it though, after all mine still isn't running right (bl**dy weather and lack of garage).

Al, didn't notice any pickup change due to driving from Longton to home in traffic, did notice that i can hear the gases flowing more.

Doesn't sound any different from the one that I took off, same diameter too.

Si.

ps: I'm gonna start calling you delboy.........I take it that you're selling the brace to fund the downpipe?

Si , Not the full de-cat just the centre section. There is a difference in noise it's deffinately louder. Don't know if its just in my head but it feels more responsive and seems quicker.
