After doing a very small amount of research I have found that there is a real need for a Lincolnshire meet. I have only moved to Lincolnshire in the last 3 weeks and after being used to 4 different meets a month down south I have only found 2 so far that happen relatively near to where I am in Gainsborough.

To avoid clashes I have looked into theese & have come up with:

1st Sunday of the month - Midlands Meet (Derby)
3rd Sunday of the month - Chesterfield Meet. I know the last one was the first but i'm assuming it will be the same each month

One to definately avoid - 13th Feb - Midlands Mega Meet

On this basis I have decided to try & guage interest on the last Sunday of each month for the Lincolnshire meet with the first being:

Sunday 27th February (Location & time to be established )

All those in favour of this idea please add your name to the list so that I can guage interest & see if I need to find a friendly landlord

Why you say avoid this one?

Ive been on this one a few times and by far one of the best meets, last summer I believe we counted nearly 100 scoobs. Starts @ long eaton and a brisk drive up the M1 along to Chesterfield to the Red Lion Pub for a great meal.

The Skeggy run is another good one.

I went out for a drive today but found no pubs. I think i'll head south towards Lincoln tomorrow & see what I can find

Not sure i think there is a pub called woodcots or summit, I only canoe past it everyday. On the A57 Not sure how big the car park is, or the Pyewipe not to busy during winter but v busy during the summer on the same canal Bit further along the same road before you get to the A46, Or the pride of lincoln which has a large car park and is on the A46 after the second roundabout heading towards newark from the A57 roundabout. Thats all I can think about Dogpole might know more as he`s a local.

We will come to this one and show a bit of support, though Gainsborough holds many painful memories for my other half, caught speeding 79 in a 50, so now with 6 points and 300 quid lighter I think I will drive. Will have to bring along the lovely photos that the kind traffic policeman took, car looks really good on them.

I'm afraid it was the M23 for me. Both me & Dyney busted at the same time doing a tonne . 28 day ban & £300 for me . Thankfully that was almost 4yrs ago now so they'll be gone soon

Will try and make the Lincoln Meet but am currently going through some training for my new job....so not sure whether ill be back in town.

As for Midlands one ill be travelling down the A52 from Grantham to Nottingham, if your based in Lincoln your welcome to follow join me and the missus. Granthams just down the A1 so not too far for you lincoln lot.

Well this is coming along well and the amount of interest is picking up quite rapidly I didn't have a chance to look for pubs yesterday as we were out buying furniture and paint....again!!!! LOL God when you move from a 1 bedroom flat to a 4 bedroom detached it's amazing how much stuff you actually have to buy That & I had to get 4 new tyres fitted to one of the scoobs

TAINTON - It'll be a shame if you can't make it coz I would love to meet as many peeps from this way as possible

Right i've got a list of 35 pubs to visit now . Think I can narrow that down a bit though based on location. I'll take a drive tomorrow and narrow it down a bit more before making an executive decision
