Thirty five pubs
Hows about after the meet,a run to the coast via some nice lincolnshire a roads

 

That sounds pretty good to me although i'd have no idea where I was going LOL

If we meet somewhere near lincoln i.e market rasen/barnetby etc,then its just about forty five mins from skeggy/mablethorpe

will leave it with you matey until you've decided where we are meeting,im sure scoobydee2 will sort us out with a multimap jobbie as per chesterfield meet

 

Multimap's not a problem to sort out & neither are directions to the pub. I'm off out in a mo to check a few out down near Lincoln so I should have a decision & directions sorted by this evening .

After a bit of driving around i've decided on a pub:

The Woodcocks inn
Saxilby Road
Lincoln
Lincolnshire
LN1 2BE

The pub itself has a large carpark, loads of seating (inside & out) and even has a kiddies playground outside for in the summer. It's located right next to the marina so it should be really nice once the sun returns

It's really easy to get to from all directions:

From Sheffield:

Follow the A57 from Sheffield (looking at the map a short stint of the A1 is required). You'll pass by the A6075, A1133 & the A156 that goes to Gainsborough. You'll pass by Saxilby on your left as you pass over a bridge that has roadworks on it at the moment. Just down that road there will be a sign on your left for the Woodcocks Inn. At the roundabout turn right & you can't miss it.

From Chesterfield:

As far as I can see from the map you should follow the A619 which joins up with the A57 just before the A1 & then you just follow the directions above. Some of you may know better ways but as I don't know the area that well i'm just using maps

From Gainsborough:

Follow the A156 towards Lincoln which should then join up with the A57 just before Saxilby.

From Lincoln:

If you're from Lincoln you should already know where the pub is....shame on you! LOL

There are many roads that head into Lincoln from all directions such as the A15, A46, A158 & A46. As far as I can see all of these roads join up with the A46 which in turn join up with the A57. Once you're on the A57 just follow signs for Saxilby/Gainsborough and it should be left at the first roundabout as you'll be heading in the opposite direction from those coming from Sheffield/Gainsborough/Chesterfield.

Right I hope that's all directions covered LOL

There are a number of meets that meet somewhere else before going to the pub so that we can all admire each others cars, chat etc... but as the carpark is so big I think we should meet at the pub and do all that there . That way if there is anyone who isn't so keen on standing chatting in the cold they can go straight into the pub

Count me in. Not far for me to travel ( from Horncastle ) so I can't miss out on this one.

Allways had a good meal at Woodcocks when we've been in the past, good choice of pubs.

Added to the list fella . Yeah me & Jen went there the other day. It was about pub no. 12 on my list & we didn't look at any more after going there . There was waitresses & everything...didn't need to leave my seat . Now that's what I call proper pub service & the food was really nice as well

As a few have requested a trip to Skeggy after the pub could someone sort out a route map for me? No use me doing it as i'm not even sure where skeggy is other than it being on the coast somewhere LOL

Took a drive to Louth today. Some brilliant roads heading that direction . They were pretty hairy coming back in the dark though as the markings were cr@p

are we going to skeggy after then if so i better start saving my 2p coins
