Wink Drag run - Seighford, near Stafford.

Drag run - Seighford, near Stafford.

Oli has organised a drag run for for anyone who wants to attend at seighford air field, near Stafford on Dec 4th 9am - 1pm
You dont have to have a scoob to join in.
Nothing serious, just a chance to give your car a blab up and down the air field and an opoutunity to meet some like minded petrol heads.
He is trying to arranage refreshments too although this is not confirmed yet.
£15 to run your car
£5 to spectate
Put your name down if you are interested.
You can post some questions if you wish and I will pass them on.
I will post any further information as i get it.
I will post his mob. number soon too.

Cheers

Andy

lo all
i have checked out this strip in the past
and used it for burnin old tyres out etc!
1/4 mile mmmm maybee but with no runoff
condition- lots of loose gravel and asorted rubish( so i hope your mates taking a bush)
noise levels- when a couple of mates took there sti & p1 up there to finish off there tred the old farmer whent mad
price wise i think your friend is askin to much, IMHO cause i know how much this strip costs for the day
but wouldn't mind just cummin along for a meet.
(all of the above is of my own opinion and just my 2pence worth)

Ok cheers, rest assured all is sweet with the farmer. Oli knows him reasonably well. If you want a ticket put your name down.

let me know the date guys and i'll find out what i'm doing.

Refreshments wise if there is enough people you may be able to get one of these road side caravans to turn up, mainly depend on numbers.

I was speaking to a mate of mine who used to live in Woodseaves (now in Bethlehem, USA) and he had the following to say:

Sieghford areodrome is ok on one side and crapy on the other...
You have to ask is it the side the police train on?
If yes - go race
Not sure as to the condition now, it used to be ok I know its concrete and
not tarmac so you'll have to check to see the condition of the ridges - the
joins between each section.

Nice car that, looked virtually standard but went really well! The front end certainly lifted up a lot under acelleration.
I was there, but not racing (DBM wagon with gold STi8 alloys).

Nice sti scoobey555. Got that knock lnk working yet?
Wish i had my wagon back in time. Pick her up tomorow now. Cant wait.
When is the next one then? Shame the track was a bit damp really as that black cossy and tvr had no chance!!!
There was some nice scoobs there. Nice to see some wagons too.
Did the black auto wagon race any of the other scoobs?
Would be interested to see how the autos go? How did it fair?
Sounds like most were running dcats.
