PEAK TOUR 2004 (REVISED)

Due to date-jacking and an element of Scoobynet Rage, the Peak Tour 2004 will now take place 18 Apr 04.

Starting point will be on the outskirts of Derby, 140 mile approx route, ending Alfreton area. Recce will be conducted shortly, route and colour maps will be issued on the day as per the last one.

There will be a Shell garage fuel stop en route.

PRE RECCE COMPLETE !!!! PEAK TOUR 04 18 APRIL

just been on pre recce of tour nice pub good food ,main recce next sunday when Marv has a day off also going with wanted (scott) fast convoy leader Yes anybody has preferance on what group they want to be in please let us know and we will sort it. Some good open roads this again wiil test both you driving and map reading skills. You will be able to pre book food has before and we have a room reserved for us all so get your name down more details on start loction will be givern next sunday after main recce

Great chrome Marv and I out sunday on main recce for tour colour maps and step by step directions no less, with a Nice pub lunch with great views over the Peak in a Famous pub !!! Can promise some full on driver action some serious roads and scenery talk more tomorrow after recce hey marv!!!

RECCE COMPLETED - LOOKING GOOD

The recce has been completed and this is looking good

Meet 1015hrs Sunday 18th April 2004

First cars away at 1030hrs

Total distance is approx 130 miles.

There is a Shell garage just before the Retail Park for those that need to fill up, a McDonalds next door for those who want coffee/breakfast.

Start point is in PC World's service yard next to Morrisons in the Retail Park on Sir Frank Whittle Way Derby (its right opposite you as you go into the Retail Park itself - you'll see the scoobs anyway!).

2 stops en route - first for lunch and the second for refreshments/pee stop!

Finish point is in Alfreton.

Menu for lunch will be posted up shortly.

Main Courses - 10oz Sirloin £11.50; 10oz Rump Steak £10.95; Traditional Roast £7.75; half chicken £8.95 etc etc + a range of side orders!

Desserts - as available on the day

Childrens/vegetarian meals available

Paul (Scooby66) will have the full menu and take your orders on the day. He will then ring them through rather than everyone doing their own thing. You don't have to order but you take 'pot luck' if you don't!!

Actual finishing point is The Peacock pub in Oakerthorpe (near Alfreton) for those who like to know whats happening!!

The route will be issued on the day

I'll be doing a bit of free-running to get some video footage of this, so be looking good and if you want a copy of any of it bring a VHS tape with you !!

the peak tour 2004

can somebody give me a little more info on this tour, i havent been on or heard of this tour before and would need to know a little more, is it a fast race, a bit of fun or a please yourself what you do as long as you get there tour?

i am interested and should make it if its not something daft
