If your thinking of the GTR meet pub Ken i'm not sure whether they have a classic car meet which totally fills the car park, & u no how big that car park is, & they were changing it to a sunday as i recall. Not at all sure which sunday but best checking before thinking of that option

& a question for you locals: Who fancies spending £395 for a day at Bruntingthorpe with 1 on 1 tuition with Don Palmer "Creative car control" course. I'm guna do it sometime in January & it's usually done with 3 people unless he books an additional instructor?

PS Neal worst case lets revists one of the different pubs we've been to prviously, preferably one with a nice big warm bar Even better if it's the Griff as i can then get drunk & either stagger home or blag a lift

Can you do us a fave m8 ?
Rob suggested the Longshoot pub by the orrientally inclined resturant on the A5 that we used as a pre convoy meet up point. As you are local can you check it out for size, how busy on a sunday and if it looks good have a chat with the Landlord.

i'll check it out later but if you mean the one just 50 yards or so from the old meeting point then car park is very small & i'm pretty sure it will be full on a sunday 
i'll check to make sure thou, there is or used to be a harvester or sumin a bit further down i'll try & check out as well as that has a more sizable car park & used to have a play ground

Right i've done the Nuneaton rounds & as suspected the lingshoot is totally chocka & unsuitable, the harvester they have since built a travellodge on the car park & play area so again non event (although there was a bit of space infront of the lodge bit) tried a few other pubs which were also very limited on space & so gave up....
However then on returning home it occured to me there's a pub called the chase hotel here which has a massive & normally unused car park round the back. Gave 'em a buzz & spoke to Adam who said there is space for ~100 cars in that normally unused car park & it wouldn't be a problem, although this was after he inquired about reving of engines etc & i assured him we weren't a bunch of baseball caped boy racers who were going to do doughnuts etc. So dunno how that grabs ya Neal but if u wana clarify how much of a issue noise wood be (wot with these silly sounding boxer engines) their tel no is 024 7634 1013 i mean worse case we can tie up Rob & put him in me mondeo boot so he dont make a comotion

or if Ken et al prefer nearer M6 there's the repition of the griff or Frankie & bennies by the cineam (although i recall they cant allow drinking in the car park but hey its gettin cold aint it about time we took it inside
