Purely provisional thoughts to gauge interest, but anybody fancy a meet up and drive thru Blackpool lights.??

I believe the lights are due to be switched on soon, if they havent already been.

My initial thoughts are M6 Services meet up maybe ... then head convoy stylee to Blackpool... for a mass drivethru ... be more spectacular than the lights .!!!

A stop off in Blackpool, for the fair, would be nice, but i foresee carparking being a problem, especially if we get a huge turnout ... vehicle security etc ..!!!

Anyone with local knowledge, much appreciated.

So, open to the masses ... any interest..???

I believe the lights to be on until around early November, so its not a rush job.. Preferred dates anyone ..?? Early October.. Avoiding school holidays.

Can get us some local info, I have been advised to go through from the North end as it will be alot easier due to traffic etc

Ive only ever gone thru from the South. Normally head only M55, over the flyover to where the massive carpark is, and then drive round to by the fair ..and then go thru..
So, if anyone has any local knowledge, thats why it would be good to get the inf ..

our primary meet venue, is M6 Charnock Richard (Northbound) services at 6.45pm, saturday 11th Oct.

Depart 7.15pm , head for Blackpool ...

8pm ish, meet at Yeadon Way carpark for a re-gather and then onward for the lights around 8.15pm


IF you are interested, please drop a post on the Northern forum, so i can make up an accurated list of confirmations ..

i will be making up a new list, as the last one deleted itself.
