Default Recent visit to FB Tunning HQ

Just a quick little update on the recent suspension upgrades done to the STI this week.

Parts:
Eibach Camber Adjustment Bolts
Adjustable rear anti role bar Heavy Duty 24mm
Anti lift/Caster Kit
Sub frame locking bolts
Front of rear diff support lock bushes

Most parts ordered from Revolution performance motor store. Was a bit of a nightmare as i ordered sub frame locking bolts and they did not turn up with the initial order. When i call revolution they said they would get them sent out the same day. i was impressed with the attitude as they were genuinely seemed to want to get the problem sorted, IE apologized and called back when they said they would. But as well all know life is not that simple as they sent me rear diff support lock bushes not the locking bolts. Was my own fault but did not check the package until i had to drop the car of for the bits to be fitted. Glad to say that when i called revolution i got the store manager and again the service was good. Keith found out the problem (Website coding error) and arranged for the part to be sent out, he also said he would cover the cost of postage back and then extra or a discount off them if i wanted to keep them.

Fitting and Wheel Alignment:
Fitting was done by Richard of FB Tunning at his new HQ (Impressive site with lots more to done as i understand)
Alignment was done by Richard of FB Tunning.

A big thanks to Richard for all the advice on which part to buy regardless of the fact that it probably took a quite a few calls and his time.
Also how flexible he was for dropping the car off due to a last minute emergency at work.
I am very happy with the way the car now feels and all the assistance and reasonable price charged by Richard.

I have to agree, Revolution are spot-on, got my springs, ARBs and STI pedal set from them.

So how does Rich do the alignment then, string and weights

I have not had much of a chance to give it stick round the twisties as yet. It defiantly feels more planted on the road, there is a bit more vibration and the ride is a little bit harsher. The biggest difference i have noticed when you do a launch or nail it from a low speed is the lack of pitch in the car. Gives you a lot more confidence to give it the beans especially out of a corner. Richard recommended the anti lift kit for this reason and having now had it fitted i can say he was 100% right.
