I'm hoping to follow suit but won't be till early next year at the very earliest. I was looking at the MD myself but ultimately it depends what power you're looking to make. Just remember, more power doesn't necessarily make a more driveable car so make sure your suspension and brakes are upto scratch....

Nearly got everything together. But I now no 450 is well out of my budget so I hope to get 400?
Aph-20g turbo, 3" turbo back system, headers with larger up pipe, pfr7b spark plugs, 3 port, fmic and cold air wing filter, 255 fuel pump and 840cc injectors. Anything else?

Hi there best bet if you are source from someone aftermarket ECU(Simtek etc.),with AFP TD05-20G you are probably will see around 380-390BHP(if you want pass 400BHP mark, methanol is second option),but you have almost everything, you just need the everything fit and remap, and after hopefully you will be at 400BHP club.

I find running the pace car day to day at around 70bhp is all you'd ever need- any more and it'd be a real handful. But you crazy kids know best I suppose.

Good advice can always be found through FB tuning btw.

I'd get a MD321h everytime over a 20g... Put the graphs of both together and your be surprised
how it out spools and has a better power band

Also the hdi fmic kit runs under the car and ive smashed the pipes so many times

Agreed. I would say put an MD321T on there and you should see you 400 and possibly up to 450 rather than the 370 - 390 you will see with the 20G. Should see 1.5 bar at 3400rpm on the T on a 2.0.

The HDI core is good but the pipework is in need of improving on a newage IMO.

The japspeed pipework routing is better but the core isnt quite so good. Would be fine for 400 bhp though.

There is no need to go with an aftermarket ecu IMO as the std ecu will do an absolutely fine job at running it along with having all the safety (and convenience) features built in.

You might want to run a boost controller such as an AVCR to allow for slightly higher boost levels to make you targets.

Got to be a MD321T . I'm running one on my 2.0 STi and it is a great turbo.
