Default Blob to hawk steering swap HELP

Hi guys and gals, was going to swap my old steering wheel for my new ver9,10 steering wheel, any one done anything like this before? Or is it a strait forward jobbie? Any help most welcome 😇

I did a bug to hawk, wheel is straight swap but I was told you need to swap the clock spring, but all I did was change the plug for the air bag and it did the trick

Mandeep, you do ideally need the clock spring as it will make he swap a lot easier. Just make sure you disconnect the battery a good 30mins before you star but wind down the drivers window first. Once you have it fitted, start the car from outside incase the airbag goes off.

I put a blob wheel in my bug and had to use the original clock spring as the one supplied was broken, took a bit of rewriting but got it working.

Martin cheers for the info, knowing me I would of tried it with the battery connected lol pow
Couple of people I've spoken to said its only classic and bug that needed the clock spring.
