Default Quick vid testing my Hero 2

Day off today so finally got around to playing with my GoPro Hero 2. Not the most exciting vid, just a few twistys near me. Wanted to test the external mic i bought for it which as it turns out is better than the onboard mic the unit comes with but does suffer when over 40 mph. Thinking I may try and mount the mic under the bonnet next time to give it a bit more wind shielding.

Nice vid mate. How did you mount it? Sticky pads or suction? What mic did you use? Looking at getting a go pro 2, peanuts don't stretch to the hero 3 lol

Yeah just the suction cup, was going to wait and buy the extra suction cup with leash to stop it rolling down the roll if the main one failed but didn't bother in the end. The mic I got is one that the hero site recommends if I remember correctly? I got mine off Amazon for £30ish with 3 meter cable. Like I mentioned you do need to modify the housing to allow the jack input to fit.

I use a GoPro and have found the best results are hanging the external mic from my internal mirror and have you windows open about 50 mm.

You won't get much wind noise and it picks up all the noises you will want to hear.

For mounts etc go here. You wont beat this place.
