Default Latest 1/24 scale Impreza

Safari Version

For those of you interested in these things, Just a few pics of my latest build. Having camera and Photobucket problems tonight so will sort out some better pics soon.

There's a few extra details on this build though not quite as obvious in these pics, I have build photos as well I'll share later.

A few new things I've tried to try and expand my skill level a little;

Airbrushed weathering on exhaust
Eduard Photo-etch Harnesses
Pipework from the extinguisher bottle
C/F Rollcage side protectors
C/F Snorkel
Wiring from control board
Wiring from Gearbox control boxes
Wiring from Dashboard to steering wheel
Photo-etch Bonnet pins
Photo-etch Boot lid locks
A little sand weathering on the body

Thanks for looking

Thanks I'm getting there but there are some builders out there that make my efforts very amateurish!

Thanks I've added a lot but really you could go really detailed, it is possible and often achieved, to add twice as much detail again as what I've done.

Photo-etch kits are a big help in adding detail but some builders go as far as to add all the brake the lines, fuel lines, wiring, air ducts etc but that's when a build takes around 12 months which really is a bit too long to spend on a kit this size.

If that's the case maybe it's time you turned your efforts to a 1:18 scale and really go for it

1/18 scale are very rare as its not a scale used for model making.

There's the odd 1/8 scale which are huge but very expensive. Though I do have my first few parts of the Eaglemoss Nissan GTR kit, expensive but will be awesome when done

The next popular big scale is 1/12, I have a few of those kits, I'm building up my skills before I start them.
