Default My new TYPE R STi VERSION V LIMITED

After a hard 10 months or so Scoobyless, I picked up this TYPE R STi VERSION V LIMITED:

Nice long journey up to Comrie in Scotland, (what a beautiful place). Then a nice 260 miles back in the Type R

Check Engine Light was on for “Error code 22 Knock sensor”, but after a fill up with some V-Power, it went away and stayed gone all the way home. But CEL came on again the next time I drove her & she’s been parked up since.

I plan to sort out the niggles and ensure she’ll be in tip top shape for the long run.

The previous owner imported her himself and was the first UK owner. She was first registered in Feb 2012, and he under sealed her before hitting the road.

My to-do list includes:

• Rust prevention - Remove under seal & Waxoil - POR15?
• Knock Sensor
• Steering Wheel Re-Trim? Replace?
• De-Cat Downpipe
• Smaller No. Plate
• Dash Flocking
• Gauge sort out
• Wind Deflectors - Remove
• Paint - Scoop & Side skirt minimum
• Radio - Kenwood DVD player anyone?
• Suspension/Handling upgrades
• Stainless Pistons for brakes? Save for AP’s?
• Powder Coating various bits

Thanks, I've not shown the dodgy bits yet

Bad bits:

Wind deflectors: I'm hoping with some heat, the glue will come away and leave the paint

Steering wheel - Although the size and shape is nice, the suede is worn badly

Surface Rust? All the under seal will be removed and replaced with some other form of rust protection.

A bit of paint missing and the start of a bit of rust here also, same on both sides of the boot:

I still have the Type R tucked away. Back in February 2015 I took off the Hybrid Intercooler and steering wheel to put on my other Type R which I sold a while back now. But ever since then this one has been neglected.
I bought a new version of the same wheel but in leather.

I need to move her from her home for the last 5 years to a new garage.

I also gave away the CD player years ago as I didn't like it.

I plan to push it over to the new garage, some pictures as she is right now:

Looking a little sorry for itself there, he he. Steering wheel looks fantastic though, keep up the good work and get this lovely example out on the roads, quite rare sight now imo classics on the road.

She saw a little sunlight today for the first time in years. Tucked away in her new home with a friend (not mine) I'm hoping they'll have babies together.

Love it! It would be the only classic I’d be interested in getting.

This car was stolen today 😞
i found it though, only drove around for 10 minutes. Told the police and they said they'd send someone when they could......
I got it recovered to a secure location. The steering column has been smashed in. I need new keys, a bumper, an intercooler and air filter.
Nigerian school book in passenger seat that wasn't there before.
Loads of rare parts missing from the garage 😭
Sad that this was it's first outing in nearly 8 years.

Its good you got it back mate. Seems like they parked it up to see if it had a tracker on it. Could be someone who knew of your car.
