Default bugeye headlight mod

decided I didn't really light the look of the headlights especially the orange indicator .

so I took em out, 10 mins in the oven and then split em apart .

Masked off the indicator area and painted the inside part with hight temp paint , Fit silver indicator bulbs then put em back on the car .

I think it looks loads better and is nice and cheap too .

I have just ordered the clear indicators. So exactly how do you get the orange out. How did you seal them again

You bake em untill the silicon goes soft so you can split em apart. Then just unclip the orange dome part.
You could use silicon sealant to reseal them but i pushed em back together then softened em up again in the oven and they're good and water tight.

Looks good, a great compromise between the WRX and STI lights

Its not as bad as you would imagine. This is the second set ive done so i was confident that they wouldnt just melt in the oven.

I was thinking about maybe buying a spare set of headlights and maybe offering them on an exchange bassis. Much cheaer than sti head lights.
