8mm is a lot of material to move when you look at the size of the lip

The bit that bothers me is the cowling at the top that sits proud of the lip - once you've filed the flange back does it still sit in the cowling as that seems to sit tight around the gauge

Pics would be appreciated

Nice looking car! Needs to be slightly lower personally, and why have the wheel weights been put on the outside of the alloy?! What year are we in 1980?!

i know i was devastated when i got it home and realised that they were on there :/ ive got tyres to go on along with the wheels getting refurbished as for lowering ive got a 306 that is about and inch of the ground which isnt practical at all and i like the practicality of the scoob in that area, but it doesnt rule out suspension upgrades in the future theres so many other things i want doing first ....

Thanks for the pics mate - like I say the bevel at the top still concerns me as I don't want to be cutting into that. I'll have to give it some thought

I think there 30 bucks from scoobyworld so you dont want to drop a clanger doing it really, but might be worth a try
