Thinking of a rear diffuser to fit a newage wide track rear bumper has anyone got any pics as I'm unsure if I want plain or carbon look.
Any ideas where to buy a good one or if anyone has one for sale would also be appreciated

Mine looks the same as above , and for all you see of it it doesnt really matter which efffect u go for TBH .

As charly says you cant see much of it unless you look under the car.
I forget what the cost now. Check ht autos website.

They fit quite well bu take your time lining it up and drilling and you will be fine

I found my quite hard ! I dont have that line to follow though . Also its nuts and bolts that fix mine , and a couple were hard to hold due to access.

Trying to line it up , using a paint can to hold it while i stood back to look it seemed to me that where u want it to sit , it didnt follow the shape of the bumper. Man i wish i had that line to follow !



mine was 2nd hand so price is different .

 

Would all require drilling the bumper? Ht autos arnt that far away from me wonder if they'd got it for me lol

Some bolts are hard to get to.
I found it easier to remove the bumper and i have fitted two now.
It really is simple though.
Easier with 2 people,one to hold difusser and one to mark holes to drill.

 

I have standard black finish and yes You need drill bumper(mainly on corners) as with only ht bolts used on predrilled bumper holes it wont fit perfectly.
And is really s.h.i.t to fit under car, close to arb plus you need cut tow hook.

 

I was on my own , at night , bumper fitted ! Wasnt helping myself much. They are alot bigger than u think , more than a foot deep anyway , so sticking it on isnt an option unless u take your bumper off and let it sit for a while to stick , but there are two brackets need fixed through the spare wheel well when it all fitted back on.

Edit - had to sacrifice my pretty new tow hook as it was a bit overkill. Then i realised after fitting difuser the standard hook woulnt fit either ! Never bothered fitting it as i didnt want to cut a hole , or tow anyone for that matter

 

I've got a tow hook on at the minute and its mooooohooosive lol! Take it that will have to come off but are you saying the original tow hook will need chopping off too?

Matty is selling a genuine one off a hawk which just sits in the middle thinking that might be the route to take as I think it bolts into existing holes

That looks cool mate wonder if you could cut the diffuser to allow the tow hook to come through?

You just unbolt the tow eye.
Two bolts and remove. No cutting required

 

Thats like the one i had fitted ! You can either cuy a hole in the difuser for the one u have and struggle ro fit it over , or refit your origional hook and cut a hole for it. Or just leave your car without a rear tow hook , like me

 

On mine i should cut right side fin for tow hook,it could look not really what im after.

in this pic (on the right of the right hand fin) you can see the bit thats moulded to allow the standard tow hook to remain fitted , but if you ever want to actually tow anyone you need to cut it out to allow a rope in.

Yes looking like similar and almost as same,but yes can be fitted on the Classic or New age with small modifications to fit

what car have you Kev ? Dont know if it suit a bumper without the bit on each side of the bumper (spats ?) Juras bumper that has the lower lip round to the back wheels takes it well. If you know what i mean

lol , i'm drying to describe the difference in the two bumpers in Juras pics , The Ebay one youre looking at suits his bumper more than it would suit the one in his 2nd pic

 

get you now, think i may take a risk and get one but get a body shop to fit it properly got i ain't got any patience for s**t like that lol

 

hi martin have swaped my boot over to the boot with the V8 spoiler on and smoothed out lock.
you will see my original hawkeye diffuser bought from import car parts.

 

Jm carbon s one is real and IMO real nice

Jura how much modding is required to fit the one you have? Does it require drilling holes or tapping?

I did list a group buy for the original oe diffuser from import car parts, they was the cheapest I could find at the time and is a direct fit I believe, check out the link in the group buy section bud it should take you straight to the page if you want any info on it
