Damn - you could put an 'o' ring round the outside of the disc and do away with the fipplin' wheels!

Do you retain the standard calipers - or are they upgraded too?

Steve

Very impressive! How long did the install take, and did you paint the caliper spacers?

Took about 4 1/2 hours, but that included putting braided hoses on front and back. I may paint the calipers later in the year. The standard 4 pot calipers are retained.

Different pads presumably?

This also presumably doesn't do your warranty any good?

Changing the brake discs and pads doesn't effect warrenty. They are disposable items!

Those pads look like DS2500, nice! When I went to Brembo Group N discs these were the ones I used. So much more grip from the calipers!!

Question

Silly question - what did you use to clean the disks prior to fitting them?

Normally you should clean discs with meths if they are greased for protection.

Ah!

These discs are electroplated fro protection. One dab of the brakes and that lovely gold colour has changed to silvery grey!

For Lofi and Molly,

I got the kit through a Scoobynet Group buy. Contact www.godspeed.co.uk for current prices as the group buy is finished.

Regards

Nice

I was going to buy some Godspeed, but the dealer and IM Subaru said the warranty will be affected with big disk conversion. Unless u have the Prodrive brake conversion done.

Vinseh, I had the kit fitted to my car last week, and the car serviced yesterday. The dealer commented on the brakes, and how they were different to the normal AP's/Prodrive setup they see. The service manager also commented that it does not invalidate the warranty.

He had also heard of Godspeed already, and I think was impressed by the setup.

Steve,

How are you getting on with the Godspeed kit? Am thinking about the 335mm kit for my car...

Oh, and the rear discs are also on their way out. Would you recommend putting Godspeed on the rears as well?? Not the 335 kit of course

I'm still bedding the kit in but have been in a car which has had a kit on for a while and they STOP!

I'll trial them on a track before the year is out hopefully. That will be the test.
