Turboteeth - the wheel is a standard Momo one available from Halfords and Charlie Browns - don't know what model mind.

Very similar to the standard fit in the MY01, but that doesn't have the little chrome insets.

Just thought I'd share that with you all! lol

The steering wheel is a snap off so its more for security than looks.

The Poor Mans Sccoby is actually a 1.8 GL, idealy suited to young unemployed convicted drivers, i did want a real one and i could have afforded it but this came along and i couldn't resist saving a few grand on insurance to spend on mods.

you do realise the fogs covers aren't the right colour right?

Looks nice. How much can you get 1.8GL's for? like the white dial kit for it. 140 on the clock. How fast does it go mate?

Cool

I'm not sure what group insurance it is but i'm paying £1600 on it with all the mods and my accidents desclosed... mainly because i've bin hit with a ban and 6 points since last year and its just gone sky high... a real one would have cost me £2500+ to insure which is a bit pricey i reckon.

60mph in a 30mph = 28 day ban
82mph in a 70mph = 3 points
42mph in a 30mph = 3 points

A bit off subject i suppoose - but I know where your coming from on the insurance. I have a MY01 WRX, haven't declared the body mods and my insurance is £2,800. Uninsurable with body mods declared.

This is cus I have no claims bonus, as most of my life has been driving company cars. Further I have been banned for speeding:-

97mph in a 70mph zone - mobile speed camera at Cambridge

122mph in a 50mph zone - hand held radar backed up by mobile VASCAR during the ensuing 8 mile chase. :-( Got to test my 120mph to 0mph meterage at roadblock! Evesham.

Cost me £1,000 to get dog's bollocks Solicitor, £600 fine, £120 court Cost and only a two week ban! Solicitor paid off.

scooby-si

Anything 25mph+ over the limit is bannable but if there is a possibilty of a ban they will not normally do it by post anyway.

If by p[ost then just make sure you get some good mitigating circumstances like letter from your employer (spoof if need be) saying that you were under a lot of pressure from work, and that if you lose your licenence you will lose your ability to work etc etc.

Be careful though, cus if they don't sting you on points - they go for cash, so make sure your means test is ****. Lie they never check it.

Obviously do not take this as Gospel, and get your own proper advice. Good luck matey, hazard of the trade eh? lol

Nice one
My first car is a 1.6GL that I'd like to turbo lookalike, though I'll stop before the bonnet vents I think. How much extra did the mods put on your insurance?
Is that the non-turbo Impreza specific Magnex 'zorst?
Cheers,
Scoobyster
