Default 1st ever scooby

Just purchased my 1st ever scooby and after having it 2 days I can see what all the fuss is about. I've always been brought up with fords I own a Fiesta RS1800 but the time had come for something more. Well basically I own a 55plate wrx impreza 4wd turbo, thats completely standard and its only covered 55k,I don't have any plans for it as of yet but any input from you guys will be brilliant
Cheers sam

Very nice, keep it simple - exhaust, panel filter and a remap to release the inner beast, then some ARBs, spring and uprated discs and pads and you've got a very good A-to-B machine

Exhaust all depends upon what you want but anything from £100 for a back box up to over a £1k - check out the for sale area for a bargain. Panel filter is about £40, K&N, green cosworth etc. Remap, again depends upon what you want - Ecutek remaps from the likes of Bob Rawle or JGM will set you back £600+ or opensource maps from FB Tuning or Racedynamix are slightly above half of that - there are plenty of debates about which is best but my opinion is as long as you use a reputable mapper and not just someone who has downloaded the opensource software off the web the cheaper option can be just as good

Welcome to the world of Scoobys.

I agree with Jon's thoughts. Keep it simple and even so, you'll have a very quick point to point car there.

I want to keep it simple because I don't want to have to pay big money just to run it, I'm on the look out for a exhaust so if you wanna push me in the right direction ? I have also been looking at dump valves for it I don't want something stupid though if you get what I mean ?

Unless you want it for the noise an aftermarket dump valve will add no value or performance. Some of the cheaper ones will actually make the car run worse and it can be very hit and miss as to whether or not a good one will work. The OE ones work very well but are just quiet.

As for exhausts, Cobra do a good range for not too much money depending upon how much noise you want. It is worth ensuring you get a resonated centre otherwise they can drone which is not pleasant on long runs
