A few of my Blobeye right up to date & detailed.
It's been a little while since I've really posted anything up to date with the new car, I've had it a year and I'm now in a position where I am really pleased with it and have it set up right where I hoped to get it to.
Since owning it I've done the following, Performance Friction front pads,
added to the existing Milltek back box and completed the system including adding a resonated centre section which keeps the volume where I want it. I have also had an RCM induction kit fitted with a SPT heat shield from the states, finally upgraded the fuel pump to the RCM 310L for safety sake. Suspension wise the car already had BC Coilovers but they where not quite set up for the best so after some fine tuning with the ratings then we dropped the front of the car 20mm and re set the geometry and it now handles really well with no wandering or tramlining like it had been, its now tight and precise and gives you great confidence. Finished off with a rear strut brace along with an uprated rear anti roll bar.
A very big thanks to Andy my very patient mechanic and Bob Rawle for mapping it, Bob feels the car is now around 340/330 and finally to James for detailing it you would not think it needed a detail but I knew there were a few imperfections and that a detail would wake it up, and James has certainly done just that, the depth in the paint now really noticable, have a look and see what you think.
Oh also I let a mad man cut a hole in my roof

that is spookily similar to the look im going for with my blob.
im having a roof vent fitted soon and already have the full length zunsport front grill and hawkeye roof vane also detangoed.
same shocks, exhaust, centre gauge pod, whiteline arbs, illegal size front plate,de badged rear.
looks great but im possibly a bit biased.

Thanks gang very pleased to hear the positive comments
I also had the rears along with the sunscreen tints fitted not to dark but it just takes the light level down nicely. It has taken a while to work through the bits I had in mind and at last I'm now where I want to be, Tommy looking good there those wheels suit the wr blue really well. The front plat is jap spec and cut down a little, it's the same as I did to the classic and never had any trouble at all with it.
Sorry about the door mat I'll make sure that does not happen again
Cliff the stance has taken a while to get sorted, the car always looked to sit to high on the front which had a bad effect on the handling, first off it took a while to get the coilovers set up for comfort then Andy spent a while on it dropping the front then fine tuning the geometry, it sits at a perfect hight now for me plus reminds me a little on how my classic used to handle in regards hardly any body roll and very positive in the corners quite like the "on rails" sensation if that makes sence to you ?
I have been looking for a set of alloys but given up nearly as the cost is scarey for the new pcd I'm quite happy with the oem wheels but a set of 18's at some point may follow
Merv your the tin opener man

I'm getting there in my mind to Gary... there are only a couple that I would change to anyway the main one being the Millenium but the cost is scarey and I can't justify it. These allloys are a perfect colour but could do with a refurb as the insides are not finished at all but there is no rush here.
My next job is a good one, we are going to drop the car on stands and remove the discs all around then I'll be painting the centre of the dics plus the grit gaurds then I'll be rear coating the inner arches out to get them back looking new.

Looking awesome Si
Think a nice set of 18s in the same colour as the wheels you got now will really finish the car off, i'll keep an eye for something suitable for you!!
