Default my Aspen White Bugeye

Here is my Scooby Progress so far.

This is picture from the Advert on Autotrader that started it all off I fell in love with before even considering selling my Lexus that made me want to sell it and buy this beauty. it was owned by a little old lady as her disability car in stockport who had it for around 4 years and had a new engine fitted just after buying it 4 years ago and only covered about 5'000 during her 4 years.

added a Scanguage 2. which shows me all fault codes, mpg, average mpg, bhp, volts, rpm, air intake temp, water temp, boost level, throttle position and many many other things, already proved very usefull as you will see.

after fitting the scanguage it was aparent that some muppet (before the previous owner) had cut the engine management light off the dash and damaged the fuel gauge. (old clocks)

fitted some new clocks from a newer 'Blobeye' Scooby. which solved a few problems, it did however make it obvious my idle valve was knackared as the EM light was forever on and even on resetting it with my scanguage it was back on in a few hours. (new clocks)

just a quick one, removed the WRX impreza logo as it was looking old and most of the Blue outline was peeling off.

Old Interior, headrests? scoobys are not supposed to have headrests, from new this crappy astra-looking interior would have been an optional extra, the mind boggles why anyone would prefer this.

New £41 ebay special Interior Fitted taken from an 04 Blobeye, what a nightmare, i had to cut the airbag wires to the old seats and solder a 3.3ohm resistor in the way to trick the ecu in thinking the airbags are still there, unfortunately the useless spotty geek in maplin sold me what he though were 3.3ohm when in reality they were 2.2k ohm, i found out the hard way after fitting them. after a second trip and a lot of soldering later its sorted and no airbag light on.

cheers for the replys guys, am really pleased with how its looking so far, the next plans for the near future are have the words WRX stiched in red into the seats in the same position as the STI would be, replace the wheels with hawkeye wrx alloys that have been re furbished in a kind of dark gunmetal grey(darker than the standard blobeye alloys but lighter than black), lowered a little perhaps tinted windows and replace the centre console with that from a 05+ blobeye/hawkeye. oh and do something with those rusty excuses of calipers.

Hi Bud, you will have some problems with the Hawkeye wheels as they are a different PCD to our Bugs. A nice set of prodrive wheels or Rota would suit that down to the ground

The Hawkeye WRX alloys fit straight on bugs, I had some on mine. It's the STI's that don't fit.

I know what you mean about the dump valve but my standard recirc. Was not dumping and this was very cheap off ebay. Once I get a working one its coming off

Just to confirm the tail lights are they a straight swap as I had heard that the lower blob can cause issues fitting on bumper? Is it just a straight port over??

Nice bug mate, got a white one myself. You just need to remove the foam pad from the back of the light and they will fit no problem. Got some on mine. Looks miles better.

Yes they fit with very little mods, as has been said you just remove the foam part from behind the circle part at the bottom, they do stick out very slightly at the bottom but it really isnt noticable unless you are on your hands and knees inspecting it, they still looks excellent, and for less than £100 on ebay a very worthy Mod for any bugeye.
