Default I picked up my Broom Yellow SpeedGear -Friday... cleaned it up yesterday.. pic heavy)

As I came back about 8pm Friday night I didn't have much chance to go over the car fully and check it all out.
The drive back from Ready to Nottm.. approx 150 miles, went well. The car drove sweet. avg 41mpg too

This Saturady afternoon I popped to the local scrap yard to get three screws to secure the head light that didn't have anything holding it!!

Checking out the car I found a few 'problems/issues)
Drivers sun visor keeps dropping down (can that be fixed are do I need to get another?)
Few small dents and little scrapes. Signs of re spray on the drivers side and front bumper looks re sprayed.

No dents on the sides.. alloys quite good condition too, not like some sheds I'd seen previously.
So for a 10 yr old car don't think it's too bad.

So.. pix....
The start, before cleaning...

interior not too bad (will clean next weekend)

dirty boot hinge edge runners and underside areas

Cleaning, sprayed engine de greaser over all the engine and dirty parts of the car, Car Kandy alloy wheel cleaner sprayed on the alloys prior to snow foam pre was.
A pre was with Snow FoamWax. Then a bucket wash, snow foam wax rince, ClayBar, then a T cut on areas that needed it lik ethe plastic trim skirts and bumpers, a few scruffs. Then another snow foam wash wash and bucket wash. dried off with micro fibre towel. Then polished up with CarKandy liquid polish.

BEFORE: Claybar

AFTER: claybar after just the bonnet was done

it was a lot worse after all the car was clay'd

Engine came up like new..

The drain holes were blocked with leaves/silt...... there not blocked now after being jet washed and brushed out lol

edges and runners a lot better..

Best pic so far after all was done.. it was late and getting dark so not the best pix. (more will come)

Any black trim was cleaned with Mer vinyl/bumper cleaner.
Tyres had Mer tyre finish applied.

Thanks for looking.

Not a bad car to be fair, we were a fiat dealer for about ten years until about 2008 and apart from the steering issue cant think of any major problems, i've had a 2001 1.2 brava for my daily for about 4yrs and done about 70k in it in that time, head gasket did fail about 18 mths ago at just over 100k but only cost £200 inc a timing belt change, cracking little car.

And try not to damage the paint fiat 258 can be a b1tch to match, even with blending as the colour looses its pigment even with the clear coat over it.

only paid £1300 for a 54k mile car so not to worried about yellow colour matches etc.
Car runs great, it looks faster than it seems to go

but for the pottering driving I do the ease of drive is nice.

For the last few weeks I've done pottering n the 330s.... lets say, i can tell the battery is starting to get weak as I'm not out for long enough to get it charging up. 330s back in the garage plugged into the trickle charger

Bargain. Speedgear?

I had one of these but the HGT version. Got through variators like no tomorrow.

Had it for 14 months from brand new, lost god knows how much and traded it in.

Was fully loaded though.
