Default Hawkeye STi

I have been a member for a while but not really posted anything on here.

Here is my car as it stands right now. Excuse the messy engine bay, I am in process of tidying it up.

I have just fitted by BC coilovers which have made a world of difference to the ride.

Engine:

ACL bearings
Wiesco Pistons
Eagle Rods
Commetic Gaskets
K&N inner wing kit
Parallel fuel rails & aero pipes/fittings
Roger Clark Catch Can
Japspeed FMIC
Running @ 452bhp 498lb ft

Transmission:
Exedy Pink Box (for now, I will need to upgrade I know!)

Suspension:
BC Coilovers

Wheels & Tyres:
Rota Gravel 18x8.5
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 245/18/40

Brakes:
Godspeed discs
EBC Blue Stuff pads

Other:
Depo Gauges
Carbon front lip

All complete and looked after by Paul @ Shennan Motorsports and mapped by Andy F.

I'm running a MD321T and the wheels are 18x8.5 Gravels bought on purpose because they are copies of the Spec C wheels.

That is absolutely stunning! Looks like it's got a fair bit of "GO" to match those looks as well. Nice!

What is that pink part sticking out from the from bumper anyway?

It's a TRS tow strap fitted because I can no longer fit my tow eye.

They are 850CC from lateral. Can't remember the maker. They are running about 65% duty.

Looks very nice mate- have u had the pipework painted red? I've just bought the Japspeed FMIC, 750CC injectors, Sard FPR and am getting a mD321T for mine, hopefully it will make same power. Need to sort out my induction kit situation though.

I painted the pipes in Frosts crinkle red paint. Looks good for not a lot of cash.

Forgot to add I am running GT spec headers and 3 bolt up pipe.

Before I added them I was only running 400bhp/410lb ft. After my final mapping session with Andy F I got up to 452bhp/498lb ft. Worth while mods at this power level!!!

How is the ride now then? No more random bounces? My Hawk's a bit weird sometimes on flat roads!
Any speed bump issues?
Looks good!

Looks gorgeous mate saw it on Ayrshire Scoobs, Shennans done a great job.

Where did you buy the wheels mate? Best wheels ive saw on a hawk in a while.

Whats the power delivery like mate, is it laggy, is it smooth/linear, does it feel much different from the 400bhp to the 450bhp? Whats the 500lb ft really like? Being thinking this route for a P1, want simular power/torque as you have with a 2.5 but with Spec C heads.

Rides so much better on the BC's. No bounciness at all now on flat roads and rides the bumps rather than jumping over them. Really worth while mod!

Got the Wheels from Wheelguy in the USA from the NASIOC forum because they were not available over here at the time (Feb 2010 it was) but Rota UK sell them now. They are nice and light and strong.

Yeh it does feel different from when it was at 400bhp. The 500lbft is great for real world driving. As you can see from the graph its a nice smooth spool up and its doesn't feel laggy as the torque helps when caught in a lower gear. Bearing in mind its just a standard 321T non billet I am seeing full spool at 3000/3100rpm at a guess going by my boost gauge. I am running 1.6bar.

I could have chased more figures but because the block is not pinned Andy F suggested I don't push the block any further.

Dave! Hello!!!

I have to say you were the reason I now have this Hawkeye! The Blobeye was great and I ran it for just under a year putting only about 5000 miles on it as I was offshore a lot. It gave me the Scooby Bug!!!

I drove passed my local Scooby dealership as I spotted a Hawkeye and right there and then a deal was made and I p/x'd it. It was kept as immaculate as the day you handed me the keys.

After a year in the making I have now finally finished the Hawkeye and I am enjoying it. Got a Ring trip planned in August with a few track days before then.

Are you back in a Scooby again (going by your avatar)?
