bttt - anyone still interested, let me know, still some blue left in stock.
For those going, I'll be taking my stock down with me to the SIDC Summer Extravaganza down at Donny this weekend, so you can get to see the items in the flesh. If your there, and you want to contact me, 07803 298 611.

I joined in on the groupbuy Huxley arranged on the conversion kit. On a MY99/00 it involves a lot of work because the bulbs didn't fit so I had to make some modifications, but other that that it was quite easy.. I'm not finished with the light behind the heatcontrol's yet though.. Couldn't figure out how to get it out..I'll try again though!

Huxley, could you post details of these bulbs? I've seen some of the threads but realy can't be arsed reading 10 pages full of posts just to pick out the info.
Are these replacement bulbs or dial kits? Do they fit a MY97 and how much is it?
Sorry for all the questions but may well be interested.
Cheers.

They are super bright Blue LED lamps plug in.
For the people that want to know whats involved.
General Fitting Instructions – these instructions are for Subaru Impreza MY94-MY96/97 UK (some models may differ).
Tilt steering wheel down.
Remove four screws from dash surround (2 top, 2 below switches).
Pull forward & unclip switchgear plugs (remembering which is which).
Remove the four screws from the instrument binnacle.
Carefully lean forward and unclip the multi cable blocks from the back of the instrument binnacle and the single plug in the centre of the binnacle.
Twist & unclip the six large lamp holders – you should now be able to remove the lamp from the holder.
Insert new LED lamp into holder then re-insert back into the original position.
Repeat above for all the lamps in the instrument display.
Re-connect cables to the back of the instrument binnacle.
At this stage carefully sit instrument binnacle back into position & turn side lights on to check that the lamps are all functioning.
If any lamps are not working, remove lamp, turn around and re-connect. (Warning – be careful not to scratch the clear plastic cover in front of the dials!)
Refit the instrument binnacle, switchgear and dash surround (and put your steering wheel back to original position!).
Two of the lamps are modified to fit behind the fascia of the heater controls.
To remove air vent fascia from the centre of the dashboard - remove the two screws just underneath the air vents and carefully pull air vent fascia off.
Remove the three adjustment control *****.
Remove the two screws from the heater control back plate (the fascia with the control pictures on!).
Remove existing lamps & holders from back plate.
Unclip back plate leaving the clear plastic diffuser showing.
Insert lamps into the old lamp positions but from the opposite side from which the original lamps were removed (ie insert lamps into clear diffuser side with the back of the lamp poking through the back plate).
Refit back plate & reconnect lamp holders to modified lamps – go careful no to bend the connection wires on the back of the lamps (this is a bit of a challenge due to not having much cable to play with!!).
At this stage, turn side lights on to check that the lamps are all functioning. If any lamps are not working, remove lamp holder, turn around and re-connect.
Refit heater control back plate.
Refit the three adjustment control ***** & air vent fascia (reverse of above!).
The above Instructions are a guide on how to do the conversion.
Usual disclaimers apply; all modifications are done entirely at your own risk & I take no responsibility for your actions.
