Cool X Plate Turbo 2000 Updated 4/7/2012

Hello all

Well, I thought I'd do myself a little diary of how my turbo 2000 runs its life. Collected the scooby 2 weeks ago so im all happy with it. Only had one issue so far and that was a small hole in the radiator. So the other half takes me to halfords to pick up some radi-leak and hey presto its all solved. Come with full leather recaro seats as standard with one owner from new

Plans for the subaru

Tinted windows
New exhaust system
Air Filter
STI Intercooler
17inch alloys
335ml brake kit
Lowered suspension
Decat
Turbo
Gauges

Not sure what else i can do

heres a few pics foryou. Ill grab some more pictures later and upload them as soon as I can

Thanks for looking

Looking good but do replace the rad sooner rather then later. Rad weld will fail when you don't want it too!

2 bolts and 2 jubilee clips to remove and refit.

You REALLY don't want to be using rad weld with an alloy engine.

Nice car. My last Scoob was a MY00 UK classic aswell. A few mods, Vf35 turbo and Newage Sti intercooler, Walboro fuel pump etc will make for a very fast road car. Steve.

well sadly the impreza broke down this morning on my way home from work. Not what i needed after a 24 hour shift. So had the impreza taken to halfords autocentre as i have breakdown repair cover. Called the aa n they have confirmed that the part is covered so just gotta wait for the garage to sort it out now...

Been a busy month with the subaru. Ive bought quite a few parts off flea bay. Found a set of alloys on ebay after the original set failed to even turn up...

17inch alloys

Old radio

New radio

Had this turn up this morning

A few clean shots from last week

Not an awful lot has changed on the styling front however im off for 3 weeks so ill be working on a few bits. Going to get the brake calipers resprayed in the next day or two.Ive still gotta buy a few extra leads for the radio such as an ipod connector lead, sub n amp leads etc. Hence why its not fitted properly.

Found myself a hid kit so just waiting for that to turn up. Ill show you some pics as i do what i gotta do on the subaru

Comments welcome

Sooooo ive fitted a 2nd hand exhaust today. What a nightmare doing a turbo back exhaust change is. Completed it in 7hours which aint bad for me 1st time i guess

Anyways heres some pics

Sadly its not working properly as its very under powered at present so im going to investigate later on today. Ive fitted a set of hids which do the job great and they look pretty nice. I was in the middle of fitting the new gold alloys however the wheel nut brace was too big to put the wheel nuts on.

While doing the exhaust ive also painted the brake calipers as well but they need a few extra coats of paint so ill upload them when im done.

Cheers all

Cheers bud. Been a good experience getting my hands dirty under the bonnet. Ive always been fairly confident and that went pretty much as planned. Only had one bolt on the gearbox bracket that was kinda stubborn
