Default Life after Gizzmo

Two years on from taking some advise and getting "Gizzmo" launch fitted, my car is now back on the road, repaired and putting a smile back on my face...

Engine.
EJ257 API custom block
nitrided crank
API steel rods
ACL competition crank bearings
API 99.50mm "Supertech" pistons
11mm studs
API oil pump
API sump
"Supertech" nimonic valves (inlet and exhaust)
"Supertech" double valve springs
"Supertech" retainers and supports
"Cosworth" sump baffle
STI8 heads
Scoobyclinic SC46 billet twin-scroll turbo
"Competition" clutch and flywheel
API manifold inlet manifold spacers
API parallel fuel rails
Simota "twister" cold air induction kit
Fuelab pressure regulator
RCM fuel pump
"Hybrid" fmic
Simtek ecu
All fitted by API, and mapped by Bob.. thanks chaps

Suspension.
"Whiteline" flat-out springs
"Whiteline" 22mm front and 24mm rear anti-roll bars
"Whiteline" front and rear droplinks
"Whiteline" front pillowball top mounts
"Whiteline" anti-lift kit
"Whiteline" roll centre adjusting kit
"Whiteline" steering rack bushes, diff bushes and camber bolts.




RCM boot spoiler........on or off???

Love it, looks fantastic without the spoiler. Just that little bit different.

Inducing the missfire caused two exhaust valves to bend, so I lost compression in two cylinders. The person who recommended it first offered to "put things right", but then changed his mind. I took it off the road as using it would of just made things worse. You live and learn

I'd say go with the spoiler, needs bigger wheels to go spoilerless

The Yanks hate spoilers, especially the STI variant. They love the spoilerless look.

Small update,,, sti arms ready to fit, reverse scoop getting there (slowly) and a quick dyno run at API this afternoon delivered this graph.

Thanks for your thoughts on spoilerless or not and your comments. Think I may stick the RCM spoiler back on though for the winter...... I miss it a bit.

What engine 2.5? looks exactly what im after in my spec c .What fuel you use also? Also did you have all the whiteline items done at the same time ? as im interested in the roll centre kit cheers buddy .
