Exhaust: Prodrive or Cobra Sport?
Hi all,
I have here two exhausts as per title - originally I bought the Cobra but before I had fitted it I saw this Prodrive which I wanted.
I was going to sell the Cobra but wanted to clean it as it was a bit manky, in the end I cleaned both up and have just spent 4 hours at work using their compressed air and a three stage stainless polish/buffing kit.
The following process was carried out the folowing on each exhaust:
1. Prepared with a course Sisal 2 section buff pad & coarse polishing compound.
2. Hard buff pad & intermediate polishing compound
3. Soft buff and finishing polish compound
Both are infinitely better now, the large majority of damage caused by polishes like Autosol or cleaning using wire wool has been fixed.
Now, my problem is that since they are both properly nice looking, I can't decide on which to use on my car!
I don't want overly loud, just a little louder than my OE STi box I have at the minute.
Both exhausts have 2.5" pipework with 3" exits, both are rolled tipped and look similar.
My question to everyone is - which would you choose?

This is my cobra on a 1998 sport, as you can see it was done off a public road:

Cobra mate. My cat back cobra 2.5 bore resonated mid section with carbon back box and 4" slash cut is replacing my prodrive number next week. Prodrive just a little uninspiring, don't want it too loud so the cobra is a good middle ground sound IMO.

Well, I had the Cobra fitted yesterday and liked the sound so much that I didn't bother trying out the Prodrive.
No reason for not trying it out, only the Cobra was the 1st one we put on - could have been the Prodrive. I might try the Prodrive this Saturday but it does look likely that it will be up for sale soon.
