Wow how did you do that?
Can you take some pics of my cars or tell me how to take pics like that?

Impreza - 3 remote triggered flashes, and a fair bit of photoshopping

Porsche - in a studio, lots of studio lights, set of 4 exposures (different exposure levels), HDR'd, then photoshopped

Where are you based?

Shame we were in such a rush, had no chance to move the flashes around for different angles

HDR pulls overlays multiple image and pulls certain details out.

Happy to shoot any car... Just needs to be local and have a couple of hours to go through some locations and lighting setup.

can still get the same results with a P&S camera... would be a little more difficult, just need to figure out how to trigger the flashes

Awesome work fella, would have been interesting to see a small hot shoe flash behind the car drivers side out of view but acting as a rim light just to give a slight amount contouring to the spoiler and top of the car. Also a coloured gel pink or even cyan on a kicker light would have been awesome to see to. Gonna be doing this also in a week or two once the car has the suspension in.

Love the Porsche shot though, very nice subtle use of HDR and maybe a little manual d&b even?

Excellent images executed with class.

P.s. What modifiers were you using? Large soft box?

Thanks for the complement!!

Unfortunately, had only 3 flashes and triggers on the day, have now got an LED lantern for the inside of the car.

I really like what subtle HDR can do, but very very subtle. D&B?

Literally just 3 SB600 flashes, lots of time taken to get the light spots "hidden" in the wheels, rear light cluster, etc then had to remove a few of the light spots in PS. Heres the un-edited photo....
