I thought when i bought my car that it was pretty clean. Its not until you get the bucket out and start washing a car that you notice all the little marks / chips / tar spots
Well it turned out mines was covered in five years worth of crap.
I spent three hours yesterday using the clay bar to get as much of the grime of as possible.
Last night i went for a run with a few mates over the Duke pass so this morning the car was needing washed again before the second day of clay bar action could take place.
Almost all the people that saw me washing the car yesterday passed again today and they think i am mental.
After the clay bar work was done i got a couple of layers of polish on and heres how she looks now.
3hrs clay bar'in your car.... you nutta!!! I went over my car in about 45mins, you keep it well luuubed and work quick with it, no need to apply too much pressure either.
I got mine from here.... carkandy 200g bar for £9 (I used MOJO as a discount code and got 10% off too) http://www.carkandy.co.uk/
I sent to guy a write up of my results with his product, he thought it was so good he added it to his website for a HOW TO DO section http://www.carkandy.co.uk/how-to-1-w.asp
Salsa mines had never been done I am guessing so what I thought was road rash along the side skirts was actually years of tar and other crap. It's still not all gone but it's a huge improvement. I will check out those links.
